Yeah i dont know what you really mean. Its just as good as all blu ray players but better cuz you can do more things with your ps3. You dont lose any quality.

yea i mean it is the exact same quality. if your not interested in ps3 exclusives then get a stand alone blu ray player but it be pretty ridiculous for you to pass up on what ps have to offer for the same price as a blu ray player

I remember when they first came out almost all the blu ray players cost like double that of the ps3 lol it was crazy not to just get a ps3...maybe that was planned? at least for when the ps3 first came out?

yea i totally agree only way you coudnt get a ps3 back then just for the blu ray player was because of sony hatred. i mean i got a slim but if i had the money to get a launch system i would have done it i mean the price was high but what it has to offer was worth it back then.

As far as I know, the PS3 is still among the best blu-ray players available.

Are normal blu-ray players multiregion and NTSC/PAL compatible like most DVD players nowadays? Because my PS3 certainly can't read PAL DVDs which I happen to burn a lot coming from internet video downloads.

Let's not forget that the PS3 does 3D too. I mean of course you'll need a 3D compatible Tv and glasses and......whatever else, but the technology is there.

Yes, it even boosts up the display a little bit if you set RGB to Full and YP/White or something to On. (Also works in games, it really does boost up the display.)

Simple, the ease and frequency of firmware updates. The PS3 didnt always support DTSHD it was added through firmware updates. Sure stand alone players can have firmware updates your just not going to see the added features you will with the PS3.

Considering all the games are on blue ray I would expext it to be pretty good. I mean, all my games run just fine.
