Is the PS3 online nearly as bad as people say?

There is no problem with PSN, as far as online gameplay goes they are identical IMO. Once you start getting into all that junk you can buy well MS has the upperhand but i dont buy much so i dont care about that, PSN advantage its FREE. So to answer honestly people are just hating, and once home comes out it will be even better than it is now.

I own both systems, Xbox and Playsation. So while I enjoy some of the benefits of LIVE, it seems like the one benefit it has over PSN is the ability to purchase Content (Which I make a habit of not buying ;))

I haven't really played many games over the PSN service, except motorstorm which seemed to play fine: In your honest opinion, does the service get alot more Flak from fanboys than it truly deserves?

It works fine, but since Live is payed, people ASSUME its better just because of this fact.

Say you get a candy for free, and the one next 2 u gets the same candy, but he actualy payed for it.

He will assume his is better just because he wasted money on it; which is logical, something you pay for must be better than something free...

Umm, there is something called: RIPING OFF people, making them pay more money just to play the game u spended 60$ to play...

Live may have a little quirk or 2 the PSN dosen't have, but that dosen't justify u are paying AGAIN for the same game...

P.S. Microsoft seems the only how charges for Online play, as Nintendo nor Sony does this *cough* MS is ripping u off people *cough*

Its really good. It depends on hosts and what not most of the time. I mean like in Rainbow Six, some hosts try to manage 14 player games when they really cant. Thus it kinda lags and stuff.

Sometimes it depends on the game. Overall it works well. Many ppl dont have mics and stuff, shame when some games support it. The community itself is pretty good...Some jerks, but u gotta learn how to deal wit em
