I purchased the Daxter bundle the other day, even though I had already purchased the original psp when it first came out. My first one had 3 dead pixels in it, however, as well as being hellishly heavy after extensive gameplay. So I purchased the new one and found that I am very satisfied with my purchase. It does not get heavy at all, no matter how long I play it. The battery life seems to have been extended a bit, and the new locations for the speakers is great! No more accidentally covering them with my fingers!
The new loading tray is simpler as well, which I'd imagine helped w/ weight issues. The D-Pad is easier to use, albeit maybe a little bit too easy! If you're in the same situation as I was w/ already having a PSP, I guarantee you'll like the Slim version. Especially if you use your PSP as a Mp3 player.
