Good Ending Spoiler When I first saw the good guy ending i thought the lightning bolt revived him or something like that. Bad Guy Ending Spoiler The bad guy ending had him leading a world of conduit against the rest of humanity. So it would be a drastically different game if they had this nding count towards the next game. End spoilers The contrast between the two endings would practically mean two different games

don't see why not, unless they've suddenly developed a distaste for money.
On both endings it would be kind of impossible, and I think the notion of keeping open choice would mean they can't go with one ending as the sequel (since that wouldn't fit the spirit).
Of course a prequel would be perfect, one involving Kessler and his own rise to power in the alternate universe. That would be damn fun, and keep the ending of the second without ruining anything.
for those of you saying who cole will fight, are u guys forgetting aldo or w.e his name was from the first game, he didnt DIE he survived, also sasha is alive as well. and im sure sucker punch will come up with something anyways. im sure there are others who might be hiding for the time being
no he did Die but not in Infamous1 he died in Infamous2 but after he die's and after the cutscene it says somthing like that you go back in time before you die the chapter it's called is aftermath so he does die JoKeR_421 so ha i had beat infamous1 and 2 JoKeR_421 im not liying im telling the truth
i think yes because... ***SPOILER*** at the end if u look very closely the lightning bolt from the good ending is a ? and in the top part of the ? it looks like a 3 so yes i do think there is a strong chance of having Infamous 3............... and to those asking how? look at modern military.... he could be fighting guys like the Militia all over again... and even scientists could create another conduit gene. ***SPOILER**

and i only have 1 thing other than what i posted before is this........ in the good ending cole dies... so if cole dies and Kessler is cole then kessler will have never existed.... so cole dies kessler isnt in existance... if kessler isnt in existance then cole should never have gotten the package... if he never got the package no powers .... so none of this could ever have happened... so kind of like OH a dream.... never happened .. and then doctor wolf could create a ray sphere and start it from a different perspective.... a entire paradox there...

i agree this story/plot can twist and go so many ways. It is up to sp how they want to train it and since the game's name is 'infamous' and not 'cole mcgrath' they could even choose to bring another character as a female. :-) They could even revive the science of the ray sphere. even giving the lead character different or more powers. teh he, endless possibilities.
I'm 50/50 on that one. While I really liked the gameplay, the story sucked b****. It could have been good if they had a better writer, but the whole game was just one big jumbled mess of a story with so many plot holes it was kinda hard to follow even after playing through it a couple of times. Not to mention the endings sucked. (spoilers) Either choice you made you get screwed. And lastly.........WHY THE FRICK DOES THE HERO ALWAYS HAVE TO DIE???? Can't the good guys ever save the world, walk away, and get the girl? Isn't that how it used to be?
Would rather they reboot the series next generation or something. Cole's story ended perfectly. They could in the meantime do a Vita title, there's like, a 6 month gap between the two games.
I had the evil ending, and was content with the way it ended. Infamous 2 wasn't close to equalling the quality in the original though, so Infamous 3 would have to be very good, otherwise leave it at 2.

if you remember in the good ending nix charged at the beast and one of her powers is teleportation so what if she teleported at last min. and got knocked out you wake as nix in some random city another point would have something to do with the lightning bolt at the good ending what if it super charged his cinduit gene reviveing him
almost forgot what if like you know how cole is keesler what if he got thoose powers from nix when they switched powers or seeing how that you didnt get all her powers maybe the exces power manifested and you play with all the powers nix and cole didnt get from each other
They could use the evil ending where Cole is the beast and he tries to train other potential conduits into surviving the plague and continuing the human race.Of course,the normal humans don't allow this and try to fight Cole and stop him.But since he's superior it would kinda look like Star Wars:The Force Unleashed 2 and Cole goes all German Nazi on defenseless humans.It would be like target practise.Of course they could use Kessler in his early days where he runs away from the beast but his family dies,he goes into the past and trains Cole.It would take a miracle yo pull all that off and not ruin the series' reputation so I guess only time will tell about the release of another inFamous adventure.

Personally, I think the answer to the question of "How can they pull Cole back from the dead" is hidden in the game, Infamous 2. Also, spoilers! Now, the dead drops of Infamous 2 got me to thinking. Since I got all 29 of them, I started thinking about how these pieces fit together. In one dead drop, Wolfe states he thinks he came up with a way of "reducing or possibly eliminating the human cost of Ray Sphere radiation." So that raised some alarms. And in the final dead drop, again, spoilers, he says "His resources allowed me to finish the RFI. That's all that matters. I hope it works. I hope it exceeds my wildest expectations and puts an end to the plague. Forgive me Kuo! I wish I could've warned you." It's just the way he words it, when he says "AND put an end to the plague," It just makes me think that he had a second purpose for the RFI. The clues are in the name as well. It's a Ray Field Inhibitor, so what if it doesn't really gets rid of Ray Field radiation, but sort of scrubs it, makes it un-harmful to humans. What if all those Conduits aren't dead, they've just been hit by the RFI and their genes are being reworked while they're in a deathlike sleep. They could pull a whole Jesus maneuver, after being dead for a while, not only does the savior rise, but the rest of his kind become superhuman as well. They've already gone through hell to establish a Cole/Jesus comparison in the games. The good and evil games wouldn't even have to differ all that much, they'd both have Cole in charge of a bunch of newly activated Conduits and is expected to lead them, either to freedom, or to rule the world. At the same time, Cole has the choice of either helping and educating the normal humans about Conduits, or subjugating and genociding them all. The majority of the game could end being like Assassin's Creed Revelations Mediterranean Defense game, with Cole seeing action in a story based manner, and when certain important Conduits in charge of his cities need him to do stuff. So this was my conspiracy theory. Any notes?
