And I am also saying this again: Gamespot changed it's design layout, it's once famous and respected score system and shows one hint after the other being biased towards Microsoft. This is Gamespots own 'Jump the Shark' , just like the appearence of Seven in 'Married with Children' and the Million Dollar Jackpot in 'Roseanne'. The era of gamespot is over, which is sad, very sad, but if we look at HOW it ends, with such dirty, ugly behavior,it's even one of the most saddest moments in gaming media publication history. GS won't survive this console generation because they can't just rest on 360 and PC fans forever as the life span for 360 is almost over, only 2 and half years left.

Dumb... Getting fired over a review is just... stupid, that is the point of a review. I guess if it got a 9.0 by him he would still have his job. Although, much games on the PS3 deserve a 9.0, like Uncharted and the fact that there isn't a multiplayer edition of the game it still is very good, much better than that trashy AC. Yes I have both and Uncharted not only has a little edge over in graphics, but gameplay, voice over, and story design. I don't play much of AC now and I really don't feel like beating it since the story is so easy to pick out, you'll know what is going to happen. Innovative? Nope, I'd rather play Oblivion, and not hear Altairs voice again, it sucks.

I got through the first assassin and was bored already, I managed to get through 4 more and felt its tediousness to creep up. Haven't touched it since, but I read about hte Crusades! Not really like AC. Honestly AC deserved an 8.0, much like Heavenly Sword. Hell, although HS is short its replay value is much, much greater than AC. /rantover

Jeff was the funniest person on, on the spot. I liked watching the show, but eh I guess I'll head on over to gametrailers, they seem to have reviews up quickly and aren't that biased when it comes to PS3 games.

Its a little odd, though. The only PS3 title that got a 9.0 on here was Ninja Gaiden... Of course it was PS3 exclusive with a few different perks, but it was still the same ol Ninja Gaiden.

Guess it was more on target than I intented. While I never believed Gamespot's review to be unbiased, they just broke negative infinity on my scale of trust.

when kane & lynch got a 6.0 and a bad written review from jeff, he got fired for it. im suprised nothing happened to aaron when he gave R&C a 7.5 and it was poorly written.why wouldGSpick a guy who's into sports game to review R&C? makes no sense whatsoever.was $$$ also involved ? :lol:

I started the game up, and scary aliens was running toward me. 360 saved me. Yeah, there was this red circle thing in front of the box and it flashed right when i saw the monster. I am going to give the game and 360 a 10. My dad said if i give this game a 10 CNet will give me a new xbox and a BIG BAG of M&M for breakfirst. I love M&M!!

Halo 3 Review

It is very disappointing, and I 100% believe he was fired because of his review style. He actually put in what he thought about the games. I agree with jeff more than any other reviewer on the site, except for his halo 3 score. journalism in general is about $$$. Just follow the money trail. But I always felt jeff connected with gamers more on a gamer level, yea he was kind of abrasive, but he was honest, or sarcastic enough to tell what his feelings were.

Jeff was the editor so he was the guy that handed out games to the other reviewers so you can blame him for that.

This rumor, if true, speaks again that gamespot is biased and the reviews are not credible at all. Money talks, sadly, money talks.

You have no idea what the story for AC is. But other then that I agree with most of what you said.

I've never beaten it, but I decided to read what happened in the end, that was far more enjoyable than going around with the tedious gameplay killing more marks.

Well its basically confirmed, since Jeffs own myspace got changed last night. In his about me it DID say he worked for gamespot, and kept a blog here. But last night he took down anything on his about me that had to do with gamespot.

Eidos is keeping hush hush about it though. But Cnet decided to fire jeff, eidos didn't tell them to.

But its not so much the review that got Jeff. Its that gamespot has had tons of kane and lynch ads, and they wanted their game to score better, but Jeff gave an honest review and eidos didn't like that. So gamespot basically had to take down all the ads and everything.
