Is Vita coming on January 3rd 2012?

I got an e-mail from my pre-order at amazon saying...

Hello,

We now have delivery date(s) for the order you placed on June 11 2011 (Order# ***-*******-*******):

"Playstation Vita - WiFi"

Estimated arrival date: January 03 2012

Did anyone else got this?

That would be a very silly move for Sony. It should be released a month or so before christmas so they can sell more.

It says that, because Amazon has the release date for the Vita on 31 December. Once Sony gives the official release date, Amazon will change it. Then you will get another update email telling you the estimated delivery date.

well apparently it's going to be november 4th.
