Both are stratagy RPG's but Im wondering which is better, not story, but new-player-friendly. I've only played FFT and that was quite hard, but I know it has a huge learning curve. Is Jeanne D'Arc easier or at least have less of a learning curve so that I'll be at least decent at FFT? Thanks! :D

He's asking about the learning curve, not the quality of the games themselves.

And as far as learning curve or complexity goes, Jeanne D'Arc is a helluva lot easier to get used to than FFT. Probably better to start off with it, as the system's been simplified but the game is graphically pretty and still fun enough to enjoy. I put over 40+ hours into mine over the course of a week or so.

Start off with Jeanne D'Arc both to play a good game and to get a feel for the genre/job system, and move on into FFT. Hopefully you're not put off by the archaic graphics.

Enjoy.

It's a tough call but I would go with Jeanne D'arc, btw, both are great games but it is a matter of your taste of games...

go for jeanne D'arc if you need something less complex. It's very user-friendly, especially for noobs on RPGs. FFTactics is an overly complicated game that even your zodiac signs has a major factor on how much damage you give and receive, but nevertheless, a great game. The question for something more adapatable to newcomers right? Jeanne D'arc is your answer.

Another note on FFTactics, not all your party members are unique characters. You start off with a few, then recruit "generic" characters that you mold into classes you want them to be. In Jeanne D'arc, your party members are all unique, meaning having personalities and background stories themselves (not including the extra army fodder you have on some missions).

Jeanne D'Arc is more enjoyable and easy to play. Get this first and get Final Fantasy Tactics later.

If you are new then I recommend JDArc. But eventually FFT will appeal more.

Of course Disgaea is nothing but fan service to strat RPG'rs so if you can get your hands on it (and you like the genre) then you'll probably enjoy it more than either.

Just keep and play FFT. It may have a larger learning curve but I got jeanne right after FFT and was disappointed.
