Just beat Valkyria Chronicles...

and I must say, it's one of the best games I've ever played! Definitely the most underappreciated game I've ever experienced; at least outside of Japan it is extremely underrated. If anyone has even considered picking this game up but hasn't yet, I suggest you do. You won't be disappointed!

Agreed completely. I especially enjoyed the ending, which wraps things up nicely - it borders on schmaltzy, perhaps, but after such an enjoyable game it's great to see them linger a bit on the main characters rather than fading to black right away.DJ_Lae

Congrats, im glad you liked it.. i beat the game a week ago and i agree its one awesome game, pretty much the best game i played this gen.. now is the time to try out the DLC which is also great, im playing salavrias story :).

I just beat this game recently, and I loved it. Not only one of my favorite PS3 games, but one of my favorite games ever.

Its a shame it does not seem to get the respect it deserves.

Yea its a great game for sure. i normaly HATE strat games but its got just enough story and RPG elements to keep it fun for me. iv stalled out at the LV when you first meat the emperor maxamis in his giant tank, i only have to grips with the game #1 i dont like that after your charicters turn is up the enemy keeps shooting you "wich is minor" but my other is with the snipers. no matter how much i LV them they cant seem to hit a bear in the *** most times. yet the enemy snipers seem to be related to rambo lol

I'll give you that it's not horribly underrated since it's gotten good reviews just about everywhere, but it's a must-play in my opinion. The game is just so refreshing and awesome that people need to experience it. At least the demo to give you an idea of the core gameplay.

Just for some laughs. Yahtzee actually said that he found himself enjoying VC at times, which is as high as a compliment as any for him considering how cynical all his reviews are.

i just got the game in the mail from walmart and is installing it on the harddrive. cant wait.
