OTher than Killzone and Metal gear at E3, what was there for SONY? (this isnt a flamebait, its a actual question.)
It isn't so much the number of games, we have TGS for that, it was the fact that the quality of those games is unbelievable. For me, I used to absolutely despise the PS3, as anybody on this forum could tell you. I thought that there was no way that Killzone 2 could come close to that trailer...but it did, far closer than I'd ever imagined. The same with Metal Gear Solid...I miss the series (didn't play 3) and want to be a part of Kojima's last grand vision.
Then I re-watched the White Knight TGS '06 vid, the FF13 vids, Warhawk vids. Saw the Gran Turismo 5 screens, and all of a sudden it just clicked. The Playstation 3 did take a while to take off, but now its going in full force. People do want it. The entire Gamestop got quiet when I bought mine it seemed (I actually got a little nervous, like they were going to all attack me at once) and since it was too big and heavy to put in a bag, I carried it through the mall, counting the sideways glances all the way through. A very satisfying purchase and one that let me know that Sony is going to be alright.
