Just got Infamous but no Uncharted 2 beta voucher included

What gives? I opened up the game and didn't see any sort of voucher or anything inside that would grant access to the Uncharted 2 beta. Was that a gamestop only deal?

I hate Gamestop but if they're going to have a monopology on this like this then I guess I have to frequent them. oh well, I can probably buy a beta off someone on Ebay and the gigawatt blades will be released as DLC at some point down the line.

Did you Pre-oder it? If you didn't pre-order it then you wont get either, just the game. if you preorder at gamestop they give you both. but if you don't you get neither.

I picked it up from Best Buy and I got the Uncharted 2 multiplayer beta code, but they're pretty limited - since the beta starts in a week (June 3rd), they're not putting that many codes out there. Your best bet to get one is to purchase the game from one of the store chains that Sony was running their pre-order promotions with - GameStop, Best Buy, GameCrazy or Amazon.com. Those are probably the most likely to get the most codes in - but even they will probably be out of codes within a week, since the codes are only in the first batch of games (they have the Uncharted 2 sticker on the front).

The only reason I bought this game is because I am an uncharted fan. The Sony website isn't specific about how to get the beta code.

So I buy Infamous and take it home. Then I read the forums and some people say they didnt get the code. So I call up Sony and ask, "hey am I going to get the code or not? I can't return this if I open it."

The Sony rep says "Yeah its a promo and Kmart is included. Its inside the box." Well later I open the thing. No code. Call back and the rep says to return it to Kmart. It should be in there. The manager at Kmart is an a-hole and won't accept a return. I call back Sony and they say "Oh its only Gamestop and Gamecraze (?). Sorry. Nothing I can do. Bye."

So yeah. Nice informed customer support there Sony.

I got mine from GameStop this morning. The guy handed me my Gigawatt Blades voucher, and the Uncharted 2 Beta voucher was inside the case. There's a sticker on the outside of the case that says "Uncharted 2 multipler beta voucher inside!" So, if the case doesn't have that sticker then you are out of luck. Also, each store only got so many that included the beta voucher. You may have just gotten there too late. Either way, man, that's some tough luck. :(Nephilim83

To be honest Mr_Ditters, you should've researched this before you bought the game. If Kmart specifically say they are giving it away, then I suggest you try again but threaten legal action as they cannot advertise something and not be true to it. Otherwise, it's your fault. It's well known that not all places give it away.Adziboy

Thats why I called Sony and they told me to open it because Kmart was doing the promotion (false) and the code is inside (false). Its my fault for believing the customer service people at Sony actually have a clue.

The booster and the online beta package is a Game Stop exclusive, the online beta only should come with all Infamous games.

So if you got your pre-order from Game Stop you should have 2 online betas for Uncharted 2, the Game Stop exclusive voucher card should have a online code and a extra code for Uncharted 2's revenge booster, then you should have a online only beta code for Uncharted 2 inside the game case.

I didn't get mine but I believe that there were only a few that had the voucher. Everyone wasn't going to get one.

Early during the game it tells you to hit start to access the power upgrade menu. You will see the blades on the far right as you cycle through the different powers and its 600 exp. If its not there redownload because I've heard you need to already have the game installed and a save.

Uncharted Beta is limited and will have a sticker on the case telling you it's inside. I believe this is for all retail stores although not all copies recieved by a store is going to have the beta.

Yeah, I think your best best for getting the Uncharted 2 beta is to purchase inFamous from one of the larger chain stores (Best Buy, GameStop, etc.), as they probably got the most copies in with the codes - but even then, you've still gotta make sure that it has the Uncharted 2 sticker on the front. And even those copies will probably be sold out by the end of the week; some of the GameStops have apparently already run out.

As for the Gigawatt Blades, there's been nothing announced about them going on sale; that code was just exclusive to preorders fromGameStop. Maybe they'll be downloadable eventually, but I wouldn't expect to see that for months yet.
