I just got a PS3 and have been dedicating all my time to RDR and made it 3/4 through and now I'm ready to get going o...n another game so I bought Uncharted Drake's Fortune.
Any thing I should know before I get going on this game?

It comes from an excellent developer - Naughty Dog. So, sit back and enjoy the ride. I highly suggest you keep aside money for the second game...
Great Game. Picked it up for $15 and played it through the other day. I am playing it through again to clean up some trophies, and may play it through a 3rd time before I get them all and chuck it in the never to be seen again pile. I found it to be rather short, or maybe I just dumped a bunch of time into it quickly. I am already planning on getting Uncharted 2 GOTY. I have to say even for a few year old game it was really good and holds up well.

Play it on the hardest difficulty available at the start...You will enjoy it more.;)

That's what I did and it was a ton of fun. I just started my Crushing playthrough a couple days ago but I'm going to play UC2 first.

Why not? That's what I did, and while it was challenging, it was a lot funner than playing it on an easier difficulty. Plus it prepares you for crushing. :P[QUOTE="Serial_Killa"]

As far as I remember the most difficult thing about it is that you lose health very very quickly and that enemies are a bit tougher to kill. In larger gunfights, this becomes quite a pain because it's harder to find a safe place to regenerate and coming out of cover is much more dangerous.Uh. no.

Just enjoy the game and even if you don't end up liking the first game get the second because it blows it away in every department.
Is a great game, there is nothing you should know just play the game :| Also play some METAL GEAR SOLID 4 if you own a ps3 you must own mgs4!Solid_Tango
Listen to this guy, you must play MGS4 too. MGS4 is neck and neck with the Uncharted games as the best of PS3 (if not the best).
The game is amazing, Im very impressed! Ive been out of video games for 7 years and the last game I played of this kind was Syphon Filter for PS1, I love how this type of game has evolved. The taking cover ability is amazing, in S.F. I remember frantically running around in attempts to take cover. Overall my game experience has been great and the fact that everyone says UC2 blows 1 out of the water, I guess Im in for a real treat.
My only complaint is the story line. Very unrealistic and the humor is awful. I dont mind killing 1000 people to get to the treasure (thats whats fun)but doing it in such a light hearted way takes something away from it for me. I really look forward to Heavy Rain as many people say the storyline is well done.
