At Gamestop you get either Killzone 2, Street Fighter IV or Resident Evil 5 for only 29.99$. And of course there's a catch, i'll have to turn in two of my PS3 games to. I've decided it to be Assassin's Creed and Uncharted (Great games, but after you play them a couple of times, there's not much more to do) for Killzone 2. A good deal?

Yeah that's the bad thing about it.I mean I bring in the two worst PS3 games and I would be pissed if they turned me down lol.Thankfully I will be trading in two good games.
Actually their is a catch. You have to trade in certain ps3 titles. You cant trade in anything.Im sure they will take uncharted but im not sure about assasins creed.

U kidding me? Assassin's Creed has a pretty decent developer though, i think that's all they care about?
EB/GameStop always have the required minimum trade-in value of $8. This deal isn't that great, as they usually have a trade 3 get 1 free going on.
If you have a FutureShop near you, they also do trade-ins and have much better values (I got $23 dollars for Genji:DOTB which I saw on their shelves for $20 :P)
Check out TIVS.ca for trade-in values. On here I found that Assassin's Creed had a $11 tiv as of 11/21/08 and Uncharted had one of $22 as of 11/6/08. So considering they haven't changed (most likely did a bit), you're still going to be getting ~$30 even without the deal.
I'd still try to eBay them, as Uncharted will probably fetch around $30 by itself
i went in to the gamestop by me, and the catch is this, ur right any ps3 game, BUT not the old ones, the more recent ones, for instance i wasnted to trade jericho and simpsons game, they told me i cant and showed me a list of wat i can. now if ur gamestop says literary ANY games then game ur one lucky mofo lol, wish they did that to my gamestop cuz i got those 2 games as a gift and i finished them and have no use for them, but like i said they had specific games that u had to trade in.

I'd like to hear more of this deal, ne where I can look it up? I'm a little strapped from cash and want to save some dough, but I want to get one of these games and I have some to trade in. I wander if Soul Calibur 4 would be accepted. I wish I could see a list.

Gamestop is a corporation. All the stores have the exact same deals at the exact same time. thats why when i buy games i make sure i buy them to keep, plus i never trade in games that i BOUGHT. cuz they are ripoffs, i mean u buy a game for $65.01cents and they buy it off u for 10 to 15 bucks and resell it for 50 or more bucks, thats ridiculous
thats a lousy deal. you could still get $30 for uncharted on ebay. also assassins creed prob isnt included in there deal as eb games never says ANY games.
There is a better deal at Target right now...You buy 2 games(except for new releases like LOTR:Conquest) and you can get a third free but the free one has to be equal to or lower than the lowest priced game you bought.

Umm not exactly...Yes National sales are the same but that doesn't mean individual stores can't have unique sales of their own. The target i work for sometimes has temporary sales(unique to this individual store). Sorta like one-day sales. IDK if Gamestop does the same but i know that just because it's a corporation doesn't mean all stores have to have the same sales.
turn in TWO games for a crappy 30 $ discount no way..... If you would sell them seperately you would get more for them plus as soon as Killzone 2 , RE5 etc hit the shelves you will be able to buy them through eBay for 30 bucks maybe 35 so no thank you.
O and btw trading in games is never a deal. You know that nearly 200% profit on used games. I remember a friend traded in AC at 15$ another guy walked in bought a used AC at about 30$, yes that is generalizing but seriously it's never a good deal to trade in games at half the retail value. Not to mention if you ever want to play the game ever again.

Well here the games must be worth $8. For example, they bought NBA 2k8 for $10 last time so it was barely in their promotion of 3 for 1. If it's an old game and they give only $5 for, then they won't accept it. Well that's how it works here.
Horrible deal. You can get close to $50 if not more on Ebay for the two. I saw Creed for $17 & Uncharted for $30 and both still had over an hour left on the auction.
