killzone 2 or resident evil 5? for your first game?

I would have to say go for Killzone 2. Simply because not only will the single player be fun, the multiplayer & co-op will keep you entertained for a long time until something great/better comes along.

Don't get me wrong Resident Evil 5 will be great also. If you had a chance to play the demo, you can do splitscreen with a friend or play "co-op" online with a friend also. In terms of replay, well...... you can play it in different levels of difficulty but that's all I can think of but together with a friend.

Yeah,same here.I didn't really like RE5 becuase it plays so much like RE4 and it focuses too much on co-op play....

Hmm. KZ2 comes out Feb 27, Res5 comes out Mar 13. That means I have two weeks to play KZ2, enjoy the multiplayer, then hop on Res5 with a buddy, do it co-op (another day or two), and get back to KZ2 multiplayer.

Don't get me wrong dude, but the question ur posing is stupid, cuz most of the ppl will buy both games. There is more hype around KZ2, and not as much around Res5, but hey, judging by the prequels Res5 has a definite advantage. Res4 was a great action, where KZ1 was "good" at best.

Having said that if I was to choose only 1 game out of those 2 I would go with Res5, however this is my opinion right now, when I know that I will not face such a choice anyways. Should I face such a choice, I would prolly wait till reviews and user response before choosing a game.

I own Dead Space, but I haven't played it that much. Still, I'll probably play it a tad more before the year's out.
