Killzone 2 by far.

Resistance 2 was poor compared to Fall of Man

I'll probably get flamed because of this but I liked Killzone 2 even better than Modern warfare 2, so it would only make sence I would think it's better than resistance

The lack of acknowledgment that both games cater to two different styles of play is interesting.

They are two different styles of gameplay. I don't really understand how people loved the first one but HATED the second one. That seems a bit ridiculous to me. If you like the old school run n gun shooters like DOOM Blake Stone, the orginal Wolfenstein, and whatever other shooters came out then get Resistance 2. If you want a cover system with more of a realistic feel like Call of Duty then get Killzone 2. I like running and gunning more, so I liked Resistance 2 better. I liked the varied environments and the large scale battles, Hopefully they bring down the prices of these games soon since they have been out for a year. Then again it took Ratchet Tools of Destruction and Uncharted 1 like a whole year and a half to get a price drop while infamous got a $20 reduction in only 7 months. Sony really needs to manage better with this.

I just don't think the majority of people like run and gun shooters anymore and that is why there is so much hate. The singleplayer played just like the first one minus the vehicles and the narration. True the narration was better in the first one but overall, the campaign in the second had more interesting levels. The first while awsome at launch, kind of had very similar levels. The only plus about the first one is the story mode co-op. R2 has multiplayer co-op which is basically a hoard mode of gameplay. It's cool, but it would have been cooler if they had that plus built a story that could have been played with 2 people. The boss fights in R2 are kind of dumb. Yes they are all big but your not really going to lose to them. R2 probably has the stupidest final boss of all time, but the game is still great. If you can get it for like $30 or less than do it.

Answers my question! I will get Killzone 2 first, and probably get Resistance 2 later.

I picked KZ2 because I liked the single player and multiplayer in KZ2 better, but R2's singleplayer is pretty cool and the coop is the best out there. I love the feel of KZ2 along with the great graphics, smart enemy ai, and cover system. It makes you feel like you have to earn every inch and kill.

Why would you get flamed? KZ2>MW2. R2 is also better than MW2 in every aspect except multiplayer. R2 single-player and coop> MW2 sp and spec ops

Great post so true

I agree 100%, great post. R2 isn't appreciated enough for what it is: a great run-and-gun shooter. KZ 2 is phenomenal for the sprint-duck-shoot-reload-sprint-duck-cover-shoot kind of gameplay. The games are completely different, people! And yes, I love both. Is the R2 community still active? The KZ 2 community sure seems like it.

Killzone 2. Never really liked the Resistance games.

nadohawk
Same here..Resistance is beyond over-hyped. In fact the game to me is utter crap. So I'll go with KZ2

Well both R2 and KZ2 are gr8 shooters...but if i had to choose it will be resistance 2...gameplay and story wise R2 nails it...KZ 2 has better graphics but the control or gameplay feels a liitle bit...heavy i must say...owning both is the right choice
