I care about this game, because allthough the PS2 killzone was flawed, it had massive potential, however the devs made a PSP Killzone reccently and it got stellar reviews.
So Killzone for the ps3 is likely to be at minimum a fairly deccent shooter, thats not including the fact that is has a huge dev team and a massive budjet.
sony itself hyping it and making it a flagship game may explain why so many people are hyped about this game.
Think about it, if it suck sony would lose ALL credibility in the game industry

sony did not hype this game, only fanboys
yupcan you explain me why there is a picture of the game on the back of it's press conference invitation then?
one thing is for sure, it's not the gaming media that is hyping it this time, they've learned their lesson from the last killzone and don't want to take any chances this time.
[QUOTE="Blitz_Nemesis"]$40 mill + 120 devs + 2 year of secrecey = POTENTIALngoniko

That wont even be necessary. To spend $40 mill on an average game is enough of a slap in the face for Sony.can you explain me why there is a picture of the game on the back of it's press conference invitation then?

This shows that Sony agrees with that hype and, unless they want to look like fools for giving attention to a bad game, this means that Sony believes the game can live up to the hype, don't you agree?

Sorry, but that's wrong Sony hyped it themselves as well, and they never once came out to say that Killzone would not be like the Trailer they could've said that, but they didn't. Phil hyped it himself saying some aspects of the game are better than the trailer, that could mean gameplay wise or whatever, and PR's were also hyping this game, so Sony did hype it themselves.

No he went to Guerilla periodically checking up on the game, and I don't have the link, but he made this statement saying that Killzone (actual game) surpassed certain aspects of the trailer, so in a way yes he did wake up and decided to tell people this, it wasn't an interview it was a statement made by Phil himself without anyone asking him questions.
shutup....first of all that was an old gen game... they only had like 20 devs on it.. now this is current gen and they have well over millions of dolalrs in this and 120 devs... dont think crap about a game...think postive or just be quietArsenal325

Ah well. I still think the game won't flop. It'll be a AAA for sure. I can't imagine so much money going to waste on a game that won't go BEYOND everyone's expectations.

Honestly, even if it doesn't come to the trailer quality graphics which I hope it does, but just saying, I like the gameplay aspect of it. How your teamates have different personalities and some guys will go crazy, others more calm and cool, that guy giving you instructions, and your team giving you weapons and stuff I really hope they incorporate that into the game. And I already know the animations will be great, the first Killzone had some of the best animations in a FPS to date, and now it's on the PS3 even more power for them to add even better animations, can't wait.

Yep. If it does flop *knocks on wood* we can't give the "it's too powerful for the PS2" excuse anymore. But yeah I'd take amazing gameplay over amazing graphics anyday, But the fact is that people are expecting BOTH on this game, since it IS next gen and on the PS3. And us, as PS3 fans are hoping that this will be the title that makes other's *cough360ownerscough* jealous and regret the day they choose a 360 over the PS3. We need one of those titles in order to boost the PS3's hype and rise it to the top just like the PS2.
So in my opinion this game pretty much IS the future of the PS3. If a 40 million dollar budget and 2 years of work with tons of developers can't produce something that does beyond anyones expectations, then nothing can.
i think it would be cool to replay the game footage... but tht really comes only second to the game play it self.... its gotta be fun for it to be worth playin...minox2109
i think they can show a lil of everything, i mean they r using up 2:30 so it better be good

do you think that investing 40 million in something that has more chance to flop than tohit is wise?
what you can't understand is how much is on the table this time, if they lose it'll not be another "ah another mediocre game, whatever..." it'll be a direct hit to sony gaming division as a whole.
Who cares about Killzone 2 the first one was bad whats so good about this one that anyone knows about. The first game didnt even prove any potential so how do we know this game will turn out good. Im guessing Haze is a bigger success.coolguy681
Ur mom got teabagged twice: Who cares.

The "first one was bad so this one will be bad" arguement is logically flawed. The first one, for its problems, was NOT on PS3. Therefore, the limitiations that affecte the first one DO NOT affect the second one. The first one was rushed; this one has been in development for 3 years. The first one did not have a budget of 20 million plus dollars; this one does. And again, this one is on a much more powerful console. You don't have to like FPS, but as a PS3 owner you have to be at least curious to see what 20 plus mil will do for a PS3 game.
