Killzone2: Pass or Buy

I think I understand where your coming from. My guess is that you believe people will base their decision on whether or not to buy the game on how well the gameplay mechanisms and story turns out. In my case however this does not matter. I plan on buying the game simply due to being a fan of the first Killzone.

Basically what I'm saying is the beta or people's opinions on the final product will have no effect on whether I buy the game or not, and I'm not entirely sure why you believe this isn't valid? It's a matter of preference IMO, I don't really need any solid facts, if I want it, I'll buy it .. (which I plan on doing).

Naturally, people are going to answer.

The problem with this is, they can say "Buy" or "Pass," but it will be only based on impressions of other people's opinions, which to me, doesn't matter.

And being in the beta completely changes that, because you've played the game and you're able to form your own opinion based on your experience, and not someone else.

What about people who say "buy" based on the sole fact that they are a fan of the original, which has nothing to do with impressions on anyones opinion but there own? Thats what I was trying to say. What makes this invalid? Simply an opinion/preference.

But then you're telling him to buy the game based on your opinion of the original.

You can't do that because that's misleading. It's like telling someone to buy Vista because XP was amazing.

So until the real game releases, no one here, aside from beta testers, can really say anything about this game that we don't already know, other than their own opinion.

And like I said before, TC wasn't asking for that. He wanted to know if he should buy it or not and if anyone knows the specs, which we don't.
