Kojima addicted to Left 4 Dead and working on NEW GAMES!

I don't care if he plays it. Couldn't care less really. I just hope his work isn't influenced by it. His games have always been something to turn to for a deep, engaging story and boundary pushing gameplay. Not mindless shoot em' ups. If he does start producing garbage like that, he'll no longer be reputable to me. Ill still respect him, but I wont look at him the same way. raven_squad

Being a fan of Kojima since 1987's Metal Gear, I COMPETELY understand your concern. But, let's not forget who Hideo Kojima is. He's heavily influenced by the film industry. He's very well versed in both Hollywood films, top notch american and Japanese classic films, and anime. When it comes to game design, he's an artist who looks to create something fresh and new for gamers. Though to people with similar influences, it seems like common sense to approach game design in the same manner, he's delivered the concept flawlessly.

I wouldn't doubt that his time playing Left 4 Dead has filled his imagination with what he would have done better. He's simply embracing the entire world of gamers instead of focusing on his local culture. To hear that is refreshing from the likes of Kojima. Europe is plentiful in art, but the States need a visionary like him to inspire and rejuvenate our own imaginations. Who knows? In turn, his success may inspire the Japanese markets to think outside of the box as well. I'm happy to see that he has finally developed the faith in his team to spread over multiple projects. This WAS afterall his goal when MGS2 was released. Now it's happening. So, let's remember that this new way of thinking isn't necessarily new. He's efinitely ha this in mind for many years now. And I, for one, am very happy to see he's accomplished yet another professional goal he has set for himself and his (now VERY large) team.

Hideo Kojima changed the face of gaming for the better. Let's have faith that he can also change the entire gaming industry for the better as well.

If Hideo Kojima can introduce a new franchise as good as Resident Evil, I don't know what I'm going to do. I hope rumors about him working on a zombie game turns out true! Bring on a new franchise, new story and a new "Snake" Kojima!

Speak for yourself and ONLY yourself. L4D is an amzingly fun game and will only get better with DLC and a second installment. It's the most rented game on GameFly, Has a AAA score across all gaming industries and is rising the ranks of most played online game. So SHUT IT!

Valve has promised to release new scenerios and downloadable versus maps. Shadowrun was nowhere near as fun as this either.

I'm pretty much laughing at whoever calls Left 4 Dead shallow or mindless, or criticizes the graphics. It's the best multiplayer coop game this gen IMO.pyromaniac223
