dude, since you havent replied the questions about trophies, medals, classes, ribbons or elite mode, i think you have a lot of stuff to do.

and i have to add, WTF IS WRONG WITH YOU? just play the effing game for fun, change classes in a match, blow some helghast with the assault class, mess up with your enemy spawn area ith the tactician, stab in the back your enemy with the saboteur, put some turrets, man, there is so much variety in this game

i fell sad for you, so you got 10th prestige and gold guns in cod and stopped playing?

well i got killzone the day it came out...

and beat it the day it came out i thought to myself i wont ever stop playing this game.

i was horribly wrong

about yesterday i reached the highest rank on it and i thought to myself "now what"

i mean there is nothing to do now

well back to COD lol

what about everyone else

THEGoD1

Honestly you need a job or a girlfriend or something man lol. Seriously and that's not me being sarcastic. It's just the truth. If you had so much time on your hands to beat the game on all the levels and rank up all the way online through the first week... you have too much time on your hands. Find some new hobbies for goodness sake.

i do all that stuff u mentioned thats right envy me

So by using deductive reasoning if you already have a girlfriend and a job then you need something else. Maybe that something else is to actually be able to enjoy a game. If all you wanted to do was play so much to get the highest rank and stuff before anyone else then you should have known that you would be utterly bored with a game that doesn't ask you to put in insane amount of hours to ge the highest rank.

Do you have Warhawk? It takes practically over a thousand hours of playing to reach the highest rank. OVER ONE THOUSAND HOURS!!! I would think that someone that is able to put that amount of time into a game would, you know, actually like the game.

just because you got to the highest rank does not mean that you were any good! i bet you were getting owned. heck, i just got points for sitting here taking a break to read some GS forums because my team one. rank means nothing on-line, you gotta prove yourself and i doubt you were that good just to give it all up.

I don't see how it's any different in COD when you reach the highest rank?

To be honest, the ranking system in COD4 is the best in any multiplayer game. The system is almost flawless that it keeps you on and on forever. COD4 rocks and is much more addictive than Killzone 2. That's my opinion.

How bout you play the game for fun? Why is there a need to be accomplishing something, just have fun with it.ManifestoJoe

i agree...why do people want bulls*#@ ranking/upgrade systems or 'achievements'...is it because your life is boring and u have nothing better to do? personally i don't have time...and when i do get online to play and have FUN, i keep getting owned by some f#% that has been online for 20 days straight upgrading his gear...

This is what happens when you got nothing else to do but play games at least 12 hours a day. Maybe all games should be like WoW....I think every level 80 character has played on that one character for at least 1500 hours or more?

I remember a time when multiplayer games didn't have any classes or ranks, when you played to enjoy it, not to geta little digital award. Back in the old days, multiplayer games were about playing with a variety of people of varying skill level for the amusement of everybody involved. It didn't matter if you were good or bad, everybody played to fight against eachother, and whenever something awesome happened, like a grenade killing seven people, everybody would laugh and have fun.

Now it seems that multiplayer is all about the individual fighting to be told 'you're awesome' by a videogame, then, once the messagehas been recieved, they're done with it.

I miss the old days.

That's what I was worried about when I was considering if I should get it or not. The same thing I've faced with other PS3 FPS games. It just dies. Especially if the online mode sucks or they're full of unintelligent idiots who think it's cool to say nothing but racial slurs.

Completely agree. I miss those days myself. I think it all really started with leaderboards in Counter Strike or something. Now everybody wants an "award" to feel better about themselves.:?

do whatever you think will be better for you man, chose whichever one you have the most fun. I'm almost at the highest rank myself, but thats not what I'm after, its unlocking all the badges to mix them with eachother. It really takes a while since the game requires you to do certain things 5 times in one game to earn that ribbon, for 8 matches to get the badges, and then repeat for the secondary function. That takes a while. Don't know if you have the patience but I find it more rewarding than in COD4 by now cuz every rank I know what I'm getting and I know what to expect. So you choose bro.

I've had the game since release. I can see it having longevity simply because I believe the game was really meant to be played once all players have unlocked all classes and unlocked all customization options: only then will the game truly open up and be the experience the devs envisioned. For those not aware, the game plays remarkably like Team Fortress, with similarities between the class types and gameplay style. However, Team Fortress DOES NOT have an upgrade system. You start with all classes unlocked. Thats the game. And its fun. My point is, the devs intended that unlocking all the stuff is just half the fun. The other half is simply just playing the game once its all been unlocked. Then again, its always a matter of preference, so you may not like the game for what it is when it has all been unlocked. Oh well.

No it doesn't .. all you have to do is complete challenges and your rank soars ..

I mean in COD4 all you had to do was like commit suicide and you got 500 points .. wow ..

Both take equally as long to get to the top ..

I prestiged till the tenth and boy was it a waste of time. You get nothing from prestiging. Killzone2 at least doesn't try to make up for lack of stuff to do with making you do the same things all over again. w@w at least gave you bonus classes.

why do people just "believe" these types of posts? the moron has 32 posts, claims to have beaten the game 100% on and offline, he's "bored" with it and wants us to change his diapers. Sounds more like a M$ plant trying yet again to discourage people from fully appreciating another amazing PS3 exclusive that poops on all 360 games.

How can you be bored with game?

Despite the campaign being short, there are items to go back and collect. Then you can try playing it on a harder difficulty.

But the multiplayer? Man, this is the one of finest online shooters I have played. The gun fights look amazing and it's always so fun to try out the different classes in different situations.

Overall, the keyword for Killzone 2 is 'fun'. Just sit down and play it without the need to prove something to yourself.

I'm pretty much done with it. I played through the single player campaign, which was awesome, and played a couple online rounds. I ended up setting aside for some persona 4 though.

Exactly, I still play COD4. I have it more then a year. I didn't enter prestige.

I'm positive the same will be with KZ2 when I get it in a week.

Everyonr has their own preferences as to what he or she enjoys in a game. Obviously, some will enjoy this game more than others. Personally, I think this game is great. I enjoy it more than Resistance 2, COD WAW, COD 4, and Halo 3. Lengthy levels are a plus, and it can definitely get intense during some of those skirmishes. Anyone who enjoys first person shooters should like what this game has to offer.

why do people just "believe" these types of posts? the moron has 32 posts, claims to have beaten the game 100% on and offline, he's "bored" with it and wants us to change his diapers. Sounds more like a M$ plant trying yet again to discourage people from fully appreciating another amazing PS3 exclusive that poops on all 360 games.yixingtpot

[QUOTE="sa10kun"]

[QUOTE="THEGoD1"] well did u prestige b/c im saying if u prestige wise.. sry should have mentioned that earlierTHEGoD1

I prestiged till the tenth and boy was it a waste of time. You get nothing from prestiging. Killzone2 at least doesn't try to make up for lack of stuff to do with making you do the same things all over again. w@w at least gave you bonus classes.

ya but prestigeing had u doing something u obviously prestiged to get to 10th and that was ur goal there is not much of goal in KZ except medals and stuff like that

Getting to 55 or 65 10 timeS? What's so great about that, it doesn't make you any better it just shows you've put a lot of time into a useless feature. KZ2 has no goal? How does that make sense, getting General is a goal and after that getting medals is your goal. What do medals do? Medals earn you REWARDS YOU CAN USE! unlike in COD where when you prestige it doesn't give you anything but a symbol. I'd rather put my hard earned horus into getting medals and general than getting to 55 or 65 and prestigin over and over again for no reason...
