Why are there so few multiplayer split screen games being made for four players? One of the few to look forward to at the moment is Blur. I really hope it's an amazing game because of this. Sonic All-Star Racing is OK, but when it comes down to it, it's just a substandard Mario Kart ripoff, hardly groundbreaking stuff. The best thing about playing games is with a bunch of friends in the same room, not against anonymous people online, it's just more fun!!!

Blur has 4 player split screen? Anyway, the only reason i'll consider a Call Of Duty game is because it has 4 player split screen. 4 player split screen should be standard for Racing/Shooting games. I wish the games that have4 player splitscreen be taken it more seriously.

this is ussualy because in higher end games, your console already has trouble feeding your game to one screen, now add another screen for 2 players, it struggles a bit/framerate issues. add two more? very difficult to support

I find the split-screen in Call of Duty to be a lot of fun as well, also Modern Warfare 2 has spec-ops mode to play cooperatively with a friend which is a lot of fun. I wish it was included in more games.

Sadly, online multiplayer is replacing local multiplayer.
