Though I find LBP to be a good game, I won't put it above MGS4, and I certainly won't crown it my favorite PS3 game. Uncharted: Drake's Fortune gets that distinction from me.
Naa. LBP is quite fun but it doesn't last long. MGS4's online is so bad that made me not like it as much. A campaign for me can't hold a whole game. except for uncharted.

Of course LBP is short, it's just a way to get you ready to create your own levels. LBP is all about unlimited replay value. Have you even played the user created levels? That's the backbone of the entire game!
I played a lot of LBP for 3 weeks and it was fun at first but fter beating the story mode it's hit and miss. I made a level, joined a lot of review threads and reviewed dozens of other users' levels and only got two reviews of my own level in return. I stopped playing a week ago and started playing MGS IV and was just blown away. It's so nice to play an adult themed game again and there is just no comparison. MGS IV is just so much more engrossing with it's story, gameplay, cut scenes and amazing environments.
LBP is certainly very good for what it is but it's by no means the best game on the PS3. I am, however, interested to see what the community will come up with in the months ahead and I will keep trac of it and hope some really inovative user content comes out. At that time I'm sure my level will still have 63 plays and 11 hearts.
LBP is like an attempt for the kindergarten market. That is not playstation. PS3 is metal gear, god of war, heavy rain, killzone 2....not kid crap.PrimordialMeme
What he said. Move left, move right, jump, hang...Less gameplay mechanics than Super Mario World from nearly 20 years ago. Heh and people eat it up. Cute characters? The whole world is made out of cardboard. After 30 minutes I was mad at myself for making the mistake of buying this game.
Probably the most overrated game I've ever played. Proof that the video game industry is still primarily a children's playground.
These two games are very different from each other. I think it all comes down to what kind of games you like. As for me I think MGS4 is way better than LBP in almost every aspect, so my vote is for MGS4 between these two games.
