i never mentioned any system now did i? are you such a fanboy of LBP that you want to shut my thread down because i want to prevent people from getting hyped into buying a game they might not like because of you?

and most, you, all will regret buying it without "renting" first. if its anything we have learned this gen is that reviews mean squat, marketing is overhyping games way to much. so....just think about where all their money goes when they market games.....save your money and rent first....there's alot of other games that might be good and i don't want to see anyone throwing there money down the drain :(...so just wait and rent fella's otherwise you might be using your sackboy as a hackysackmachiavell8x8

I' don't care. that's much an opinion. I never see before on console in my life. That's Platform game with creation! it's fantasy creations has different 12,000 on BLP. I give 10 score. period it.

wrong, anygame that is good should be bought, reviews and be manipulated, forums can be manipulated. the only person that knows if a game is good is YOU. thats what i was trying to say, i hope i have explained it better now. its like how everyone says SSD HD is so awsome, yet i got bored of that game almost as quick as "the last guy"machiavell8x8

honestly it got kind of boring.

i played the beta and it was alright. i went from for sure buying it to maybe buying it.

yah i bought that game, and the last guy because of the reviews i read at the time. i liked the last guy for the first 2 levels then after that it was just way to repetitive/boring. and the same thing happened with SSD, just way to simple altho i did enjoy that game a bit longer mainly due to the graphics. but in hinesight it was just a waste of money and time, if those games were actually rentable it would have been easily noticed and returned promptly. i mean think about it would you actually rent SSD after playing it? the only reason i kept playing it was because i bought it and felt guilted into justifying the purchase.

but it seems like EVERYONE on these boards want people to BUY the game....now i wonder why that is? is 8.5 even that bad of a score? i mean think about it assasin's creed got what a 9 or a 10? thats my point reviews do not matter so why does everyone on here just to justify the points? i mean ok after you've played it i get it, i think msg4 is the best game out right now...i can see puting a number on a game after ive played it.....but look at these boards and you can tell someone is trying to sell something by the way they attack people who say anything about not "buying" it. lol i mean im trying to help people out and look

maybe it's just not your kind of game, that doesn't mean it doesn't deserve a 10. maybe you're not into platform games... that's all fair... but people who are recognize this is probably the best platformer ever made so far.

if you don't like it, don't play it

gta got a 10 and i can't stand that game... can't play it for over 5 minutes... does it mean it's bad... (well, maybe)... it's just probably not my kind of game

If people are getting mad at the original poster for this thread then I sure as hell hope that they aren't praising the "9.5 is too low, LBP should have gotten a 10/10" thread.

I don't think the game deserves an 8.5, but it's your opinion.

Though I have preordered this game I am wondering if I should drop it for Fallout 3. I most likely wont, but I want Fallout 3 so bad.

i loved mario, and i loved garys mod, but until i play it i won't be chancing $60 down the drain....and thats the reason why they are doing all these "freebies" for preorders, they want people to get hyped into these games, with false beliefs as to what they are in our minds. and im not saying there message is false, just that its not the truth for everyone as i think we've pointed out together

the only thing that bothers me is that he said it deserves an 8.5 AND its a rent.

madden got an 8.0 and it sold more than some movies sales in the month it came out

and unless you've played the FULL GAME, you can't really say anything

purhaps the title, but i only did that to draw people in to the opposite idea that is floating around,....aka the game might not be as good as we expect. together with the body i think it did a nice job, but purhaps i forgot how sensitive people are to opposing idea's. because in plain text, renting a game before buying is a very good idea. we should be excited about a new game coming out, but not to the extent that we feel its needed to overhype it even more.

one thing ive realized in life is the more you expect from things, the more your let down. so either way its actually a lose lose overhyping it. people are going to buy the game, but i feel as a community we should suggest more often to rent before buying,

No, reviews dont matter. However, Little Big Planet is a great game.

This is one of those games that score really doesn't matter much, it's appealing to majority of gamers and that is pretty much all that matters.

All those reviews perfectly well understand that, hence why there had been positive reviews. ;)

anyways not everyone in the beta liked it again, this goes back to my main point, rent then buy and beta's/demos don't mean anything. i played demo's and it wasn't till i bought the full game that i realized what i had got. just alot of bad bisness models being passed around here....or is it good bisness models? tis the question.

Hm, I do agree that reviews don't really matter to mass gamers out there, however the fact still remains that more and more people will tune-on to Internet when looking for information about games, especially in the last few years.

I use to purchase subscriptions to various gaming magazines back in the days for information, however a lot of gamers, parents, and casual folks do look for info on games for themselves or their children.

Unfortunately, a lot of those people are not gaming oriented and they just need quick knowledge.

I have to disagree that reviews don't matter, they do - to a certain extent. For example, they don't matter much to me since I'm keeping up to date as much as possible with many sources, but to my sister, or cousin who just came home from long work day quick 15-20 minutes read will be satisfactory so that their kid stops nagging them about some "game" they really don't care for.

There are lot of people out there with similar challenges, you can't ignore Reviews, you can disagree with them but everyone have different needs. ;)

And this isn't a FPS .. you can actually judge this by its cover because no other game on the PS3 is like it .. you know what you're getting, and know what it is about ..
