LBP Rent First Score Later! :)

i cant read any more of machiavell8x8 's posts. His constant grammatical errors makes my brain hurt.

Oh man, I'm so tired of this.

The guy who made this thread is not even saying bs about the game. On the other hand, there are a lot of threads on this forum just saying "buy the game, it's awesome", most of them not even point out arguments in favor of that statement.

A lot of people (still the minority, i know) played the beta and lost all the hype thei had for the game (me included), so why not thinking this may also occur to a lot of people who didn't try the beta,are still very hyped about the game, buy it, and then end up not liking it that much like some of us. Why to bash the only guy who actually gives a good advice?

And not only for LBP, this should be a good advice for every single game "try before buy".

You guys are a lil bit ridiculous, making propraganda to a game like this just because sony needs it right now. Ps3 is not that bad, we psfanboys are getting stronger and stronger, just relax, no need to hype everything.

10/10?! C'mon, i can take a 9.5, because, although i didnt like it that much, it is innovative, but the game has its share of flaws (the 3 plans auto-change, the jump, the undo function doesnt work all that great, etc). Only a blind man couldn't see this. And 10/10 is for a flawless game.

i know what my point is and was, and all my posts were positive, the only thing ever in question was the title and i explained that. and all you did was attack that because its all you had, but it isn't enough. So the people you know played the beta and lost the hype for it? Could be because...it's a beta? Essentially an old build of the game with alot of the content taken out so the servers could be tested.

I don't know, to me, LBP needs more then a week rented from blockbusters to get into. You can't sit down and make a level that easily. It takes a long time. I only made 1 level in the beta because I never had to time to get into the whole creative process since I had work to go to and to see my gf.

Personally I loved the beta though. What I played and having a mess around the with tools was fun. I just don't think a rent would give this game the playing time it would deserve.

While being a part of the closed beta i can say that lbp deserves all the scores its getting. I myself would give it a 10 out of 10. What didn't deserve a 10 was metal gear or Gta but lbp does. I mean you can go through the game and collect items create your own stages and play user created stages. I mean and some people are very creative so you will play alot of very cool stages. So that game will last for along time and sale millions just because of the endless replay value. So if you never played the game and saying you wont buy it and it does not deserve high scores then my only advice is to play it when it comes out and you'll be hooked. To me it even has game of the year potential just because of the awesome community and replay value. Now this is info is just from the beta and not finished product. Because its the community that makes this game because you won't believe how creative some ppl are and the stages they create it will blow your mind. Because I myself is not creative in making stages and things like that but I really enjoyed playing other ppl stages.

and most, you, one if many some not all will regret buying it without "renting" first. if its anything we have learned this gen is that reviews mean squat, marketing is overhyping games way to much. so....just think about where all their money goes when they market games.....save your money and rent first....there's alot of other games that might be good and i don't want to see anyone throwing there money down the drain :(...so just wait and rent fella's otherwise you might be using your sackboy as a hackysackmachiavell8x8

dont worry man microsoft is the only console that spends rediculous ammounts of money trying to sell ther games sony doesnt even buy exclusives i dont think i seen one mgs4 trailer or haze or resistance or any little big planet comercials only reason why halo3 sold so well was because it had that horrible/lame comercial running 50% of the time comercials where playing with the camera zooming through all the action figures...lmao how pathetic was that? and im expecting gamespot to give it a horrible review cus odds are they will get some xbox fps fan to review it but everywhere else will give it a briliant if not perfect score like it deserves... minus a few other unrelyable reviews like eurogamer and 1up or some crap website

And from personal experience in the beta and from everytestimonial I've heard so far from beta players, they have only had good things to say about it. Every gaming journalist has only had good things to say about it, so there must be some validity to 100% of statements being positive or 'looking forward' to the game (talking about people who have actually played it, not people who are blindly saying that it sucks or I'm not gonna buy it).

So unless you played the beta and have negative things to say about it, please state them so that theres actually some validity to your warnings. Everyone should know to be weary of hype in games. There's no one out there that can say they liked every single game they've played or bought, at somepoint your dissapointed by a game. And that should be lesson enough to be weary of what to expect. But having already played a bit of the game I don't have to worry about it not beng what I expect it to be, because its so much more than i ever expected.
