I wonder if we will see another metal gear game after MGS4, i know kojima said this was it, but you never know, and remember how much better MGS3 looked over MGS2, just a few years more of understanding the PS2 hardware? I think another MGS game down the line would look and play even better than MGS4.
yeah another metal gear game is possible but it will be without koijma as a dirctor and solid snake thats what it looks like I wonder if theres gonna be a cliff hanger at the end of mgs4
Sounds to me like if Kojima says this is it, then that means that this is probably it. He might leave a hanging thread or two in case he ever gets the urge to make another Metal Gear game but I would expect that the story will get pretty much wrapped up. And that is fine with me. I love Metal Gear and I hate to see it go....but the fact that Kojima is stopping the series when it is so overwhelmingly popular just tells me that the guy is full great game ideas that probably don't fit into Snake's storyline. It means he is cultivating another brainchild. I think I'm MORE excited about what Kojima will do next than I am about MGS4

I know kojima want to end the MGS series with MGS 4. Maybe there will be a new Metal Gear (something) series. Solid Snake dies at the end of MGS 4, meaning Solid series ends But a new beginning for a new hero. Metal Gear Raiden, anyone?

i kidan hope thsi is the last one, id like to see Kjima take on another subject, maybe a horror survival game.
When he sees the PS3 selling really well and the longevity of the system he will probably make one more at the end of the PS3s life. Kojima has stated he wants to make a 360/PC game, a Wii game, and ZOE, so that should take about 6 years to finish all those projects before he starts the next metal gear.
If , and i mean IF , a new Mgs was to come out after MGS4 then id be so happy because its my favourite game series , imagine what the graphics will be like by the time MGS5 would come out.
I really think that this is it for kojima and metal gear. I think he has a love hate relationship with the games, he often describes metal gear as his baby and it has obviously bought him huge success but on the other hand due to the popularity of the franchise and the demand for sequals coupled with the fact that he likes to please fans as much as possible its stopped him from pursueing other ideas of his. Personally im excited about seeing something else from him, something completely new. It would be a shame for a man of his talent not to create and pursue other franchises, maybe he'll create something that will eventually become more popular than metal gear. who knows.
