Just like any other bundle game. For instance, with Gran Turismo 3 back in the PS2 days. I bought that bundle, and still had the usual warranty for PS2. Polophony Digital did not cover the warranty, SONY did.

You are completely overreacting about this. It's obvious. The warranty states it covers "Konami products" therefore, indicating MGS4 is the only product covered.

SONY covers the other product, which is the PS3.

According to your logic, people who buy this will open the box, and see it say "Konami PLAYSTATION 3" on the unit. That's ridiculous.

I called using my cell phone. I talked directly to someone after selecting OPTION 1 for genereal inquiries. (option 2, order status, option 3 cancel, option 4 defective - just for proof)

KONAMI WORKER HIMSELF STATED: The warranty for the PS3 is covered by SONY as NORMAL, and will be the NORMAL PS3 warranty period. KONAMI covers the GAME ONLY.

END OF THREAD, you were confused, as I said first.

Please correct your thread so that people don't get strayed away from buying this bundle because you didn't research your own false claims enough.

Yes, I was because i really liked the color.

But I was told that the warranty is only 90 DAYS. I suspect it's because it's going to be "very limited" quantites. and that since it's a special edition gunmetal grey there arent any that can replace it if need be.

Konami didn't make the PS3 Sony did .. so the 90 days is for both from Konami .. but Sony will still have their own warranty on the system itself .. don't take everything so literally ..

SONY makes the PS3, the Gunmetal edition is SPONSORED by Konami ... GAMES have 90 days warranty, the last line says SOFTWARE which indicates the game aspect of that warranty.

Every Single PS3 is Warranted Under Sony!! Like every 360 is warranted under microsoft, its not like the Halo edition 360 was warranted by Bungie and wii under Nintendo. Stop making false claims and learn to Read before causing a riot and possibly detracting people from buying an awesome coloured PS3.

of course Konami didnt manufacture or develop the PS3. BUT, you wont be able to get a GUNMETAL GREY one anywhere but from konami (IT says ON the PS3 "Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Edition"). and it will NEVER be made again. SO, if it breaks a year from now & they need to replace it; where do you supposed they're going to get them from?

They will do this magical process called, sending it to SONY where SONY will replace the INTERNAL parts, and then screw your nice gun metal grey case back on around it.

See, the PS3 is made to be taken apart, like any electronic device. The internals can be replaced, and the case can be put back on.

However, if you (and I wonder about you since you keep emphasizing "breaks") literally break the case somehow, even Sony wouldn't cover this. That would be considered abuse/neglect/misuse, if you somehow cracked, smashed or broke the actual case....

If it is I would be a happy camper, since i was planning on buying it. But like i said, when i called and asked SPECIFICALLY about the Gunmetal Grey Limited Edition PS3 Bundle. I said i read on their site 90 day warranty & they confirmed it.

AND if Konami doesn't make the PS3 what makes you think they're gonna pay for its warranty ... AND PLAYSTATION IS NOT SOFTWARE (as it so clearly states in the Konami Warranty, which is the same warranty they show for all their other peices of software ie. Games) !!!!!

But the hotline is only for the Gun metal grey one then, since they say orders can be placed at Konami.com, and all the options pertain to cancelling or reporting defective KONAMI orders. You just tied yourself in a knot.

Well i'd call again; but i'm at work. If sombody else calls and confirms that in fact the Gunmetal Grey PS3 in the Limited Edition Konami.com Bundle does in fact have a full year warranty though Sony; i'll believe you.

Until then im going to have to believe what i was told. I will call again to double check when i get home though. It goes on sale tonight i believe.
