As a 21 year old male with tons of experience with FPS + action games, LBP is without a doubt, one of my top10 favourite games of all time, and I've been gaming for 15 years. If you don't buy it, you're missing out BIG TIME.
If all you do is watch R-rated movies and play M-rated games why would you play LBP??? What are you getting tired of the unnecessary blood or bored of violent games? If this just some strange occurance of LBP power maybe it has to do with the sharp graphics and your weakness for cute stuffed animals.
Im a 29 yr old male, who enjoys all types of games, I play Gears, KZ2, inFamous, GTA, COD 2, 4. I want to clear the misleading thought that LBP is for casual gamers, that is not the case at all. When you see the type of creativity and time it takes for people to make levels that are on there, that ranges from bank robberies, Gears, God of War and Mario inspired levels, or just levels filled with pure awesomeness, it welcomes all gamers to play and enjoy.
So with that said buy it and feel free to hit me up and wecan run some co-op if you like, if not still enjoy the game.
i am going to go against the grain im 26 and play alot of online games killzone2 warhawk etc and the novelty of LBP wore off pretty fast for me all you really do is run around picking up stickers and blue balls and riding in lame user made vechiles. Honestly my copy is gathering dust apart from when ppl might come over and there is some girls or my gf's younger brother may play it for abit and then get bored of it and switch to grid racing.
Zidineski.... Your one of those "troll" things I hear about, and obviously not in the age group I'm looking for. Keep stupid and smart ass comments to your self little boy. Vasilli, you read the post infront of yours and decided let me say something non productive too (and if thats not the case, then I'm sorry) BUT you shouldn't of posted either.......................................... To EVERYONE ELSE regardless of age, thanks for your feed back. I hope to hear from more people about this game. Any body know how much a used copy cost??? And thanks.YoungSinatra25
Awww, don't say it like that. I basically mentioned what everyone else was saying. LBP has this HD cute stuff going for it that is simply irresistable. Its nearly impossible not to be drawn to it, its similar to penguins and Domo kid.
LBP is a great game for sure no matter what age but for me it has just become a chick magnet. Great for co-op but as a single player game it can't stand up to the other games I have such as Valkyria Chronicles and Infamous...which are rated T.
I know, sometimes the thoughts I'm thinking don't come out right in my typing. I think the problem was I think I switched tones about four times in that one post so even I have to piece together what I meant.
With LBP I haven't been impressed with the user levels. To me it feels like playing a bunch of flash games if that makes any sense. I love the on-disc levels and the MGS ones but the users created ones just make me frustrated and bored because most of the time its either "figure out how to beat this level" or have a badly made movie or game character threaten to destroy the sack people unless I make it to the end of the level and step on the "destory bad guy" button. When I play a game I need a story motive to drive me to complete the level or game because I usually play games for their stories most of the time.
I'm 18, and Little Big Planet is alright, but I honestly think that the only good thing is the user created content.
I have LBP also. For some reason I just can't get into that game. I don't see what the whole point is. Run around and collect sickers over and over? Create a level with the stickers you find? Seems like alot of people dedicate alot of time to this game, maybe im missing something here?
I'm not a kid nor really that young. I'm a competitive FPS type of guy and only own M-rated games. (Dead Space, COD4, MGS4, etc etc...) But every once in awhile I just feel like sitting back and relaxing. (For that I normally roam around GTA4) Ever since I first saw Little Big Planet, it some how appealed to me, like a warm hearted Disney flick that's overly saturated with cutey-patutey characters. (cutey-patutey is a word dammit) I was wondering any guys or girls, with similar taste. (M-rated games, R-rated movie types) Gave it a chance and were pleasantly surprised ??? If your young post your thoughts but I'm looking for the 21ish plus crowd. Thanks.YoungSinatra25You depress me...mainly because you remind me of the typical adult within the book "The Little Prince". Maybe im reading what you said in this post incorrectly but do you truly limit yourself to just rated M games and R movies?
It's definitely a game that will appeal to younger audience more but it has some very pleasant charms for adults as well.
I can honestly say I enjoyed the game almost all the way through the single player levels until the very end were I just got little to much irritated.
I mostly felt like creating and playing user created levels, there are some incredible minds out there in LBP community.
In the end, it wasn't really my cup of tea for to long but it's definitely worth checking out. Don't miss on the experience.
I'm about 2 years below the age you were asking about but man me and fewfriends played 4 player co-op today (offline) and it was so fun.
Running as fast as we could to see who would get killed off the screen for being too slow lol. We worked as a team when he had to. Funny thing is we were playing CoD4 and WaW right before LBP.
Cosmo........... I'm not gonna even explain myself to you or anyone else. I'm asking for feed back about a game and your criticising me as a person. Your a stupid ass!!! Besides thinking little of me (like I care what a nerd over the interweb thinks) what is your opinion of the game???..................... Thanks to everyone else. General consensus is either its a game with almost infinite playability and fun and character that isn't matched in the industry or it it as a toy with limited gauge for gamers who want story, linear gameplay with an actual over a more abstract game. I like both sides of the coin so far. Price of a used copy if I can find one.YoungSinatra25linear gameplay with an actual "purpose" over a more abstract game. I hit submit instead of spellcheck. Sorry for misspellings and grammar.
It's great fun for both. Kids like just running around, dressing up sackboy, maybe playing some of the easier levels and messing around on the level creator a bit, but when it gets to the later levels in the game, when you start trying to ace all of the levels, find all of the items, and try to make good technical complex levels with the amazingly powerful level creator, that's the sort of thing the kids can't do. And honestly, I think you need to be a mature intelligent adult to really apreciatte just how good a game LBP is, it truly is amazing.
Even if you don't like the cutesy relaxed nature of the game, it is a technically amazing, puzzling, complex platformer which is certainly worth the money.

Wow, you're being way more of an ass than he was. Watch videos, read reviews, and if you're still not sold then that's what renting is for.
35 here, my wife, 10 year old daughter and I love this game, its so fun. As soon as it starts you get the humor of Stephen Fry narrating (Hitchhickers Guide to the Galaxy). Putting huge teeth in sack boys mouth and making him mad is hilarious.
i am just curious.. what age is not a kid and not real young?
anyways i am 23 and enjoy the game.. seems like people who question the kiddieness (yeah i made up a word) of the game are 15-20 and would feel embarrassed if they were ever caught playing it.. if that is your reason to question if older people like the game then don't get it..
I'm with you there. The concept is pretty ambitious and the game lives up to the concept. But I can't get into it either, maybe it's the simplicity but whenever I try to create a level, I give up and play something else. I like Sandbox games but I guess, not from scratch.I have LBP also. For some reason I just can't get into that game. I don't see what the whole point is. Run around and collect sickers over and over? Create a level with the stickers you find? If your young post your thoughts but I'm looking for the 21ish plus crowd. Thanks.YoungSinatra25I'm 23 with 3 kids and a majority of my movies and games are for a mature audience but when I found out about LBP a year prior to it's release it grew on me quick and I once I got it the whole "it's a kids game" flew out the window. It's challenging and at the same time, cute. Definitely worth it :)
Its a great game. It is not really all that kiddy once you start to play it. My only problem with the game with the online portion. LAG. I play every type of online game there is between my ps3 and 360. Never have i experience the horrible lag fest that i got with LBP. It was virtually unplayable. But i enjoyed the single player very much.
I agree, i like to post my thoughts and questions, when people just fire back at me i tend to get a little snapy because it's uncalled for.
I'm 21 male who just loves blood and guts, any game where you can shoot someone or something i'll love (in alot of cases, mercs 2 you didn't make the cut) like manhunt 2, i think that's the most blood thirsty game you'll ever see and i love each and every second of it even with the filter/ But i still like to dabble in LBP because it's rather creative, i was really really impressed with the start of the game as you are running through the start credits and pictures start to pop up about the staff, i thought that was really really smart.
Some of the user created content is so well done at times it's even amazing, so i would think it would be a good game to have to "clean" your hands and calm down for a little giggle and some fun, if you can get it cheap i think you should go for it.

Hmmm really? Maybe i should go get it.As a 21 year old male with tons of experience with FPS + action games, LBP is without a doubt, one of my top10 favourite games of all time, and I've been gaming for 15 years. If you don't buy it, you're missing out BIG TIME.
