Well, Amazon.com has it for $186 US. Look for it somewhere else rather than Logitech's main website (It's twice as expensive there)

Yes, yes and yes. You won't find better value in surround sound speakers. They are cheap and they sound really, really good.

I also have the X530's. Bought them for $60 US and they work really well for the size of the room they're in. I would mind the 5500's though. I'd really like the Sony Blu-ray Disc matching Component Home Theater.

for me Z-5500 Digital 5.1 Speakers I bought this originally for my computer setup to listen to my music, play games in surround sound, as well as watch DVD's in full 5.1 surround sound. The sub on this system is UNBELIEVABLE!!! This system is so good I've transferred it to my TV and use it as a home theater system and I plan on buying a second system for the computer. http://astore.amazon.com/ivdeo-games-20/detail/B000H5C25E/103-6765254-4519855

You might want to start considering a real HT setup with a receiver and surround sound speakers. It may be a little out of your price range but will be well worth it in the long run considering the uncompressed audio formats the ps3 outputs via hdmi for games and bluray.

I would start off with something like this http://reviews.cnet.com/av-receivers/onkyo-tx-sr605-silver/4505-6466_7-32430580.html

And then add speakers from there like http://www.amazon.com/Polk-Audio-Channel-Theater-Titanium/dp/B0002WTK52

You can go a ton of different ways with the speakers.
