I'm actually excited for it, after playing the first one again the other day.

I know everyone thinks it was repetetive and boring, but I never noticed it... I thought the story was really what kept me intersted, even if I knew
Al Mualim was a bad guy from the start.
I loved the first one so much even if it was the same thing over and over. So the second is a day one buy for me.

I did'nt exactly hate the first one, I just didn't get into the story as much as I'd hoped and I found the controls unreliable and frustrating. BUT I'm hoping AC2 will be different. As long as they fix the controls and mix the missions up a bit then I may think about getting it.

No don't care at all of this game it will suck, first one was boooooring because of repetitive game-play.

Bought Prince of persia and guess what...REPETITIVE game-play again and waaaaaaay to boring.

Seen the leaked "Beyond good and evil" trailer? guess what they turned it in to another climbing game...i bet it will be repetitive gameplay aswell :(

Nah i have lost faith in Ubisoft they cant make FUN games.

I enjoyed the first one. Just got my PS3 so I'm debating which system to get it for. Any advantage to the PS3 version that you may know?

I couldn't stomach the first game. Well that's a bit harsh, but i really couldn't get into it. So naturally a sequel means nothing to me.

If its anything like the first one them I am very very excited about............... not getting it. I was one of the many who thought it was repetitive and boring after too soon. The story wasn't even all that interesting to me. Not at all. However, I read the article in GI about it, and it does seem a bit more appealing. But until I see a trailer I'm sticking with "lol." ;)

AC could have been SO MUCH MORE than it was. The possibilities were endless with the setting etc. The end result was the worst game I've ever played in my life, and if not worst its down there in the bottom 5.

I played it for about 5-6 hours and got extremely tired of doing the same things again and again. The story did absolutely nothing to draw me in.

Ubisofts track record of late is horrible (Minus Prince of Persia, which was a decent rent), but They come up with insane levels and great concepts and totally FORGET about something called variety.

Ubisoft Employee Discussion: Yeah riding a horse climbing buildings and killing people sounds awesome, I'm sure it'll be great. Okay so how do we make it better? *wtf face* You can't beat that combination, alright then lets do it 20 more times- sound good? Yeah Sounds awesome *High Five*. So how do we make it more challenging? Lets make the cities farther away and larger as you go on. Oooooooh awesome Idea Your promoted to Jade Raymonds bedtime Assisstant.

With that said AC2 could rectify that. Or they could make it worse ... ride horse, climb building, use da vinci flying machine, kill people .... rinse repeat.

But Ubisoft will NEVER get my money again (this isn't just related to AC, but a lot of their recent games). I don't care if AC2 becomes the Citizen Kane of gaming or if Hideo Kojima signed with Ubi and released MGS5 through 10 via Ubisoft. I'd Simply rent or steal them from ubisoft headquarters.

For me i could care less about Assassins creed 2 no offence to anyone out there. There is just too many better games that are coming out that i would rather purchase like Batman: Arkham Asylum, Modern Warfare 2 (especially after the new trailer), Bioshock 2, Demons Souls, Battlefield 2, NHL 2010, and the list goes on

I personally don't see Assassins Creed 2 mending all the awful that was contained in the first because...well, in order to mend something you have to realize its broken. Ubi Montreal used that awful, repetitive gameplay style, received much criticism for it, then what do they do? Oh, just use equally as awful and repetitivegameplay styles in all of their titles afterwards. :P

I completely agree with this. It was my first PS3 game - my first dose of next generation gameplay, and it blew me away. I did every single mission in the game, and didn't care about repetition. To be honest I never noticed it too. I just played it because it was so damn fun. And to answer your question... Yes. Yes, I am anticipated.

i never felt it was repetitive. getting all the view points, killing templars, getting all the flags, annihilating army camps throughout the kingdom (for fun), etc all of those things were fun to me. and im definitely ready to hype for the second one.

I'm psyched about it but scared in the same way. Assassins Creed was a big hype for me in the first place I LOVED LOVED LOVED the Prince of Persia trilogy. My friends who didn't care much for it watched me rip through that game and assassinate people in ways they didn't I loved it. The only reason I'm scared is companies tend to **** up games some times but it really seems like they have a good team working on it. They currently added more members to that team so I can't wait. I may not get it on the day it comes out. Unless I get a new job. But, Ubisoft prob one of my top 5 fav companies so I can't wait for this game.

Yes I am excited for the game and will buy it once it comes out, I like the first one even though it got a little repetitive but I enjoye these type of games, I hope it doesn't come out the same day as Bayoneta.

Count me in. Just finished replaying it yesterday. The story is my main interest, templars and artifacts. For gameplay, it's awesomeness when counter stabbed every enemy around you and all of them fell writhing in pain. Basicly, i like both of gameplay and story representation. Gameplay mechanic indeed felt repetitive while visiting another district of each town and i like Acre the most.

I hope AssCreed 2 story would be something like Desmond's ancestor travels to seek out another artifact as described at the ending.

Some of you will think, "You replied AssCreed?! Seriously?". Yeah, i'm guilty as well for supporting KOEI's repetitive franchise.

It was fun at first. Then it just grew old. The AI sucked in that game and there were a lot of short cuts taken.

I won't be diving into #2

I'm looking forward to it. I loved the first one too... I also never felt it to be repetetive also because all games are like that in different %. But also when I played it again I found myself doing all the side missions, before the assasination, even if they weren't needed just because I was having fun. So I have good hopes in the second installment. We'll see. :)

Good to know that someone else agrees with me. Although I do admit, Rainbow Six Vegas is a keeper in my book. UbiSoft games for me, get my attention, but don't do a very good job at holding my attention or drawing me further into the game. In my opinion, that is the mark of a 2nd tier game. Good games, but nothing on my list of all-time memorable games or moments.

Meh. Not interested at all. Assassin's Creed was a big letdown for me. It was fun for a little bit, but it grew boring for me quickly. I'll maybe give AC2 a looksie when it drops down in price considerably.

I agree that AC was a game that could have been so much more. However, what I liked about it was that it tried to do something different. Yes they failed in some areas, but I thought it was a very picturesque game and it sucked me into the world very easily. I did every mission and thoroughly enjoyed it. The ending? Well, its meant to be a trilogy, so it could come together at the end, who knows.

I'm really looking forward to the second one.

I didn't really enjoy the first one, so unless they changed it a lot I don't care. Also, I don't like the plot enough to play it through. I don't see a sequel being different enough unfortunately.

I've read quite a few previews on it, and from what I've seen it's looking promising. Instead of the same repetitive missinos to find out information, there'll be at least 16 different types and there will be more creative ways to assassinate your targets. Ezio (the lead guy) doesn't work for a bureau, he just find work from people he knows (a bit like GTA), so you don't keep having to travel back and forth. Different ranks of guard, and three extra types (athletic, heavy and vigilant guards), more skilled varied combat (not just pressing counter), very good graphics and city design... By the looks of it, they are improving on all of the criticisms of the first. So yeah, I'm pretty excited.

Hehehe, I just realised, assassin has the word "ass" in it twice. How immature.

I'm definitely looking forward to it. AC had a TON of potential, but the repetitiveness/lack of variety really killed the fun. The production quality was still top notch and the actual game itself was solid in concept... I fully expect AC2 to fill in the gaps in gameplay.
