Looking for 5 exclusives to convince me of a purchase of the system (KZ2 exclude

- I have a low-high end (Meaning at the bottom of the high-end spectrum) PC

The only title that stands very firm that is making me consider this decision is obviously Killzone 2. It stands as a pinnacle of what I'm looking for in console games. A unique experience.

I can't wait for White Knight and GOW3, Heavy Rain might be pretty good also.

You lost me there....if you're really looking for something unique look at these:

Metal Gear Solid 4 (No brainer, if you've never played a MGS game before you're in for an interesting treat, games not for everyone though)

Valkyria Chronicles ($30 at gamestop for the next few weeks, fantastic game, and it's completely original, get it! Don't underestimate it for its cartoony graphics)

Resistance 2 (Fantastic boss fights, 60 player lag-less competitive, and a fantastic co-op mode!)

Uncharted (Great graphics, setting, story, and the final stretch of the game will catch you off guard ;) )

Little Big Planet (Pure platforming fun with an insane level editor, great game to play with friends and alone. :) )

What??? Far superior to Uncharted. It is the best action/adventure out there I believe. It sounds like you are just trying to bash on the playstation.

And Socom is a good third person shooter but it is only online.

Ghost recon is not better than Unccharted.

Gears 2- thats anopinion but totally different style - no story line.

Freedom Fighters - no

Dead Space - another good game but again totally different style - horror

Hitman-last gen and not spectacular

Max Payne - last gen and not spectacular - if you want to go play last gen then go do it.

Resident evil - good game - not a great cover system - movement is more awkard - can't move while reload or shoot - but no dooubt a good game

stranglehold - yea, don't have to say anything.

Uncharted is still a good game. Actually great in my opinion. One of the better story lines. But it is your choice.

i have a feeling dont want a ps3..so dont get one.

Well actually you can fight enemies in both and you can run over people in GTA.

Sorry you feel that way, and i apologize for everyone else here who randomly started bashing you as soon as you said you didnt care for MGS4 or LBP. (i DO like LBP, but i think MGS4 is grossly overrated.) I know you said the thread served it's purpose, but i feel the need to give some recommendations anyway (WITHOUT bashing your taste in games. >_>):

-Heavenly Sword (since you said it already interests you)

-Resistance 2 (yes, the same basic gameplay is intact; however, they've added a lot to the multiplayer. namely, a co-op mode that feels a lot like what TF2 would feel like if it had a co-op mode.)

-Motorstorm: Pacific Rift (even if you're not into off-road racers, i say pick it up. i hadn't played one of these kind of games in a while, but picked it up because i had heard a lot about it. i'm glad i did, it's a lot of fun.)

-Valkyria Chronicles (an original, addicting Strategy RPG that i really can't describe in words. all i can say is it's like nothing else that you'll find on any other console this gen. you'll just have to take my word for it.)

-Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (if you're into platformers OR third person shooters then i definitely recommend this one. you dont even have to play the other games in the series to understand it.)

Seriously though, this guy is way too picky. Believe it or not, an open mind is essential for a gamer, especially when buying/trying new games. Plus he obviously hasn't played Uncharted. And if he doesn't even want to try well I'm sure someone else will be enjoying a brand new PS3 alot more than he would.
