I found this on PocketGamer. Don't know if it's legit. Guess we just have to wait until E3.

Hopefully this is all true. They will most likely clarify it during E3.

I enjoyed liberty city stories but I do not want downscaled versions of my console games on PSP, I want unique experiences like patapon and locoroco.

Could they even fit San Andreas onto a UMD?

I can actually see this being announced at E3, Sony did say they have more PSP games to announce then. I just wonder if the PSP can even handle San Andreas.

I really hope they do, and I think that it is possible. Vice City Stories took around 800mb, and crisis core is nearly double that(not sure how much a umd can hold). If it's toned down, and if some of the lesser features were removed, I think that it could fit.

^^^IIRC a UMD can hold 1.8 GB. no idea how much SA would take up... hopefully that's enough though

The apparent source for the news (a picture from hmv.com) is gone.

If this ends up true, I would be slightly disappointed. I had hoped Rockstar would make a brand new city.

This would be a great addition to the psp library. I liked how San Andreas was large scale and yet really spaced out. I would love to see this come to the psp.

I'd honestly rather have a scaled-down GTA4 with really good online multiplayer like the console versions have. The online is what keeps me playing GTA4, and having a portable version would be great.

a umd can hold about 2.5 gb of memory so i shouldnt be too hard fitting it all in a psp but it may be a short story. also the new Psp will be coming around november so we could expect a new type of disc for it. perhaps the same discs as gamecub would be incredible achievment for something the size of a psp :)
