I went to wal-mart today to get Mario Party and a controller, but I thought I'd see if there were some new games for the ps3. I didn't believe my eyes. They had Ninja Gaiden Sigma in. I knoww this game doesn't come out yet, but hey it's on the shelf so I'd pick it up. Well I go to the till, and the machine won't scan it, says it's not for sale. Now that's a big disappointment, they shouldn't have it out on shelf if they won't sell it. Dumb mistake, but I'm still mad that they put it out. PS it's 67.83 Canadian at the walmart.
alot of stores do that.. in most cases they are for pre-orders.. or only publicity. NGS is available in Japan .. since the ps3 games are region-free you could import it i guess.
It was just so disappointing, I was so pumped to get it before a lot of people, and they won't sell it. There's very few games my wal-mart gets in on time, yet getting it early.

Well be nice to Wal-Mart...It's better than what my EB Games, did, they put empty Wii/PS3 boxes on shelves making people think they actually found the consoles.
Lol, i wouldn't steal it, but ya eb games in the city next to us is horrible I think. They know there stuff, but they really need to lower the prices there cause the Zellers 5 stores down has games about 5 to 10 bucks cheaper. I got really mad at eb games when they had empty twilight princess cases out 8 months before it was out. Didn't even say pre order on the box.
It really has nothing to do with Wal-Mart because they just had it displayed. If you think that was bad around here there are several retailers that have PS3's stacked all over the place until you pic one up and find that all these boxes are just empty display boxes. It's just away of either showing they will have the game once it's released or that they carry a product. It happens all the time.
Same thing happened to me. They had Lord Of The Rings Online on the shelves the day before it was to be released. So in this case I actually took it up to the counter to buy it (it wasn't just a display) and apparently it wasn't supposed to be sold. The cashier and some other guy said it was because the game had been recalled, but in reality it was because they were all morons.
