Ben Roethlisburger, Santonio Holmes, Troy Polamalu, James Harrison, Hines Ward are all excellent candidates. There might be one or two non Steelers that could get some consideration as well I guess... :P
Supposedly this year might have 2 people on the cover, Larry Fitz and Polumalu seem to be 2 of the finalist. I find it funny how big Larry Fitz has become since the Super Bowl. I never even heard of him till about mid-season last year(Cardinal games rarely are played in my area). Everyone seems to be jumping on the Fitz wagon but i really don't think he is the best reciever in the NFL. People jumped on the Randy Moss wagon back in '07 yet last season he had a less than stellar year. You can blame it on Brady being hurt all you want but Cassel proved to be a good to great QB so i really don't think thats an excuse. This could also be true with Fitz but who knows till the season starts and we see if all this talk of Fitz is really true or just one great post-season.
I couldn't care less who is on the cover as long as the game is good. I am thinking about picking Madden 2010 up when it releases. The last football game I bought was Madden 2002 for the PS2. I wonder how much has changed over the years. I bot bored with basically buying the same game over and over every year with just small changes and a roster update, so I stopped buying.
