they say that Mass effect 2 and 3 might not be 360 exclusive, because now EA owns Bioware, EA will be publishing the games not Microsoft. i dont know about Mass effect 1 because i really cant be bothered reading that far into it, the game doesnt appeal to me.

but to you ps3 owners that wud like to play it on ur ps3, it MIGHT come.

Well if EA is bringing another 360 port to the PS3 do we really care?
It will have the same problems as every other EA port, and I imagine most of us don't really want to know we're playing a half arsed game with framerate issues and god knows what else.

yes agree and from what ive read and seen the current version already has alot of technical issues...i cant imagine EA porting an already technically flawed game to the PS3 - now thats scary!

Electronic Arts make a statement in UK at the BBC station, were the Greg Zeschuk CEO and Co-Owner of Bioware told that now the mass effect game will be a exclusive for the ps3 because of the effort that Microsoft put in the game, but the CEO of EA told whiting minutes of that statement that "Greg Zeschuk doesnt have the authority to claim in behalf of EA the future of this game, because microsoft lost all publishing rightwhen EA bought BioWare, and that now EA has plan to expand the games feotures in other consoles".

So for all those xbox360 fan, where you see what happens when big corporation do for their profits.

Maybe mass effect 1 will be a time exclusive for the xbox but you will clearly see a ps3 version like 6 months later.

Wow guys... I see a lot of hate for Mass Effect here lol :D I am on my 2nd playthrough right now and I can say game play is rather unique and interesting. Honestly, I have yet to see BioWare release a bad game yet (beside the tainted Obsidian sequels). The world isn't as big as they advertised and there isn't enough content to keep on going pass the 50hr mark as just about everything you can do in the game should be done by then.

However, the game play is tight and story is not as clear cut as simply saving the universe. Not to spoil too much, Mass Effect 2 and 3 will be start of the invasion and may as well turn into a 3 way war. I can understand the desire not to buy 360 for this, but please don't just plainly deny a good game simply because it's on the other platform. I for one is more than willing to buy a 2nd copy either for PC or PS3(PS3 if it is announced). And no, the nude theme isn't really all that revealing, and to play game simply because it says it has a nude theme... i don't know, but I used to think PS3 crowds were proud to be more matured?

I am hoping EA aquisition doesn't affect the company as much. But a lot of people were already taking about Mass Effect being the last true BioWare game.. I hope that's not the case, BioWare is about the only true RPG game maker still left in US (Bethesda's elder scrolls gets less and less interesting with each iteration, and now they started charging for extra content which they used to give out for free ... sigh).

I'm not knocking Mass Effect, in fact, it would be awesome if it came to the PS3. I'm just saying I would love KOTOR on PS3 (and apparently Dead Rising, lol). As far as the PS3 usersbeing more mature, well I don't know many PS3 users that want Mass Effect strictly for THAT, but I always learn something new on these forums everyday, lol.

Spoiler alert!! It's pretty rude to just ruin the story like that, and yes you do get to fight the aliens, after all, geth wasn't the only one you fight, which is also considered an alien race, if you are playing paragon.

Mass Effect looks cool to me. Too bad I prolly won't get the chance to play it. (unless it does come out on a ps3) I get the cool feeling I get from watching star trek TNG when I see footage of this game. It really seems to create a sense of differing species with differing cultures. Solaris, do you think that really comes through in the game?

You couldn't be more wrong, the game doesn't even take place on earth. Guarantee you if this game was a ps3 exclusive you would be playing it right now.

So after reading the article I have some thoughts:

1. They bring up some valid points and I think this story has some legs.

2. With EA at the helm now, anything is possible. They might find some legal loophole to release ME on the ps3.

3.ME2 and ME3 have a very legit chance on appearing on the ps3, because as all of us know EA is in it for maximum profits so relaseing ME2 for the ps3 in 09-10, there is a good chance for that.

4. But as of right now it is merely speculation and the writer of the article on psu.com was really strectching.

Final thoughts: I would like ME to come to the ps3, but it definately won't make or break my rpg experience on the ps3. I can thank Oblivion for that.

If you spend the time to go through the dialogs and check out the codec information on the culture, then yes. But if you are the one to just trying to go through the game then no. Out of 6 different worlds in the game (other stars are just vector map with the same generic buildings for side quests), there is only 1 where you get to interact with different races. (2 human colonies and 3 uninhibited worlds). Overall, it really depends on how much reading and dialog you are willing to go through to understand different cultures.

BTW, human seems to be the only race in the game to have two genders showing up:D

Beside Asari, which is an all female race, most aliens were shown as male only beside Quarians. Guess that picky 9GB limit is having more effect on how big the world is than MS assumed.

Each race has a certain characteristic in speaking, although like human, they are not restricted to just one stereotype. In that regard, the game makes the world quite believable.

The game is not close to perfect though, UI for team management and lvling up is substandard. Buying and especially selling equipment is just downright pain in the butt. That issue aside, the world they created and all the subtle detail put into the game makes it at least on par with, if not downright better than, KoTOR. Honestly can't wait for the next episode in the series.

pretty much...but it had a lot of flaws on the xbox 360....horrible frame rate when 4 or more enemies are on screen, 8 hour story, brightness problems, you think u'd be able to go to all the planets ....but no....theres like only 15 out of 35 planets you can actually land on..and when you land on them ...well..u just roam around mindlessly with ur roover..mining ores and what not.....umm other than that the game is good...graphics are passing for next gen...way better games out there that look better like gears of war, bioshock, CoD4.....

MS lost publishing rights to FUTURE mass effect games, not the original. so basically dont expect to see the first game on any other console. That pretty much kills the series for any other console.
