Ok so my birthday just past and I have enough money and to buy a psp go and download a couple of games, though I already have a PSP 3000. The reason though why I am thinking about buying a Go is because i have the Dissidia psp from japan that they only made a couple thousand of and I don't like bringing that psp out of the house because it's to big for my pocket and I don't want to take the chance of scratching it badly. I really like digital downloads and I only have a 1 gig memory card, so 16 gigs would be much better. Are there more cons then pros to the Go, what do you guys think.

I wouldn't get a GO. I bought one and just recently sold it on ebay and might go pick up a 3000 with the money. The GO is a great system don't get me wrong, the biggest problem with it however is the Playstation Store itself. I think there has already been about 5 or so games released after the GO that have not been put on the Playstation store. Now, none of those games are big titles but still it's a sign that not all PSPgames will be available for Download, even the games released in the future. There was alsoa article a while ago stating that Sony hasn't even made future releasesmandatory to be available for Playstation Store so its really up to the devs if they want to put there game on the store or not. Plus to add on to all this there is still a huge back log of games that need to be added on to the store which i seriously doubt Sony will ever get the time to add to the store. Plus the price is also a main issue, Your basically getting less for more money.

You seem to have your heart set on it, so sure, why not. And if you end up not liking it, you could always sell it and transfer your new PSP games to your old PSP. Of course, I'd keep the older PSP around for a while until you've decided you'd only want to stick with the Go. (Actually, I guess you could go ahead and play the PSN games on both systems, couldn't you...)

Thanks so far everyone, I think I will get it a Go, the missing collection in the storefront dosen't matter to me as much because i will definitley be keeping my limited edition japanese dissidia psp, and if the game isn't on the store front and I really want I will buy the UMD. I am going on a trip this weekend so it would be nice to bring a Go with me and have a couple games without having to bring a bunch of UMDS. The only thing I am concerned about is are soem of the controls weaker and are there some advantages in the Go?

Yeah I also got a Go at launch and have since sold it for a 3000. I agree about the device itself, its very good but I was concerned about the amount of games that were coming to psn store. I also noticed that theres a few recent games that havent been added to the store which made me a bit worried. There was just too many games that were not on psn so I got a 3000 with the umds instead. If there is a lot of titles that you are looking forward to then I would get a 3000 because not all of them may come out on the playstation store.

Controls are great! Analog has more resistance, the buttons are firmer. Much improved IMO.

I'm getting a Go (once I get some sort of a deal, lol I'm kind of cheap), but I've played much of what the psp has had to offer (I've owned a 1000 since launch, it finally broke), so most of the game I want are on the store or coming out. Plus the portability is great for on campus use.

I bought a go. hated how big the psp 3000 was and how loud the umd drive was so I'm really enjoying the go. I prefer the analog stick on the Go much more than the regular psp. it moves a lot more smoothly and the position is a lot more comfortable. the program Media Go (basically like itunes) that comes with it makes it much easier to put music, playlists, and movies on as well (I'm guessing you can download this free somewhere online). I bring my psp everywhere now, where as before I only played it at home or brought it with me when I went to my parents house. I just wish they stuck with the pro duo mem stick since I already had a 16gb, but i guess I can't have everything.

I used to have a 1000 and decided to upgrade to the psp2 when it came out. Well i got a go and think that unless the psp2 is the best thing im going to stick with my go. I think for me its much better than the 3000. I love the all digital format and the pause feature. If you prefer all digital games then the go is much better
