Can anyone explain to me the mechanics of this game?

Like...is it a shooter online? or something else?

MGO for MGS3 was basically a 3rd person shooter with different play modes, such as deathmatch, team deathmatch, Kero Hunt (don't remember what is was called but it's like capture the flag), sneaking (where you had to get to one place and the rest of the guys would try to stop you)

It was fun while it lasted, and it seems MGS4 will also include it.

Kero hunt was Capture also it had the one with the duck i forgot what it was. Where if you die,you die forever until the offesensive team is killed off or if they get the duck and run back to the base.

Yeah, I didn't include the Gako one because I didn't remember what it was about... only that it had a duck lol :P

a starter pack will come packed in with MGS4, how the full blown thing will be released is unknown
all that is known is that the full experience will be released seperatly

its about stealth and tactics. and from what i see it seems it will allow much room for user created content shroom76

A starter pack would totally suck because that will mean we'll have to buy the actual game from the PS Store... and most people will be left out. :evil:

it will probably be released in both forms, i really doubt that they will just release it on the store and risk loosing some good cash on it

besides im sure the starter pack will have the basic functions to allow for online play, the full thing will probably just include extras like maps and weapons, probably not mandatory
