Metal Gear Solid 3 - Subsistence

I'm from the U.K and just went on the sony website and found out that this game plays on the PS3 but it only has 1 star out of 3 meaning it won't work as it normally would on the PS2, now is it the online play that doesn't work or is the game itself (Snake Eater) not working as it normally would on the PS2?

No. The North American and Japanese Servers are shutdown the European servers are up. You gotta have a European Version of the game to play online now. Online on PS3 for Ps2 games work. Cause people used to play Resident Evil outbreak with ps3s for HDD support.

So the Euro version of MGS 3 works Ok then? I'd like to know as I really want to get it. the 1 bar out of 3 rating put me off. It said the same of Killzone which did have problems but works really well now.

Apologises I didn't mean the online game I was refering to the actual MGS 3 game itself. If someone can confirm that it works well on Euro Ps3's can they post on here. Cheers

There isn't one. Believe me I've been looking for a long time. I'm afraid it's trial and error if you want to continue to buy and play PS2 games on your PS3. Sony have a Playstation office in Dublin I sent them an e-mail about the list not being updated weeks ago. I'm still waiting for a reply.
