MGS 5 to be revealed at or before E3.

I hope what he says isn't true and they don't make Raiden the new main character of MGS series i love this game but i have always felt that Raiden never fitted in the story he was puhed in it.

Though making a new title with the new foxhound as main characters might be nice.

I knew there was going to be a new MGS and Kojima hinted many times that there might be one in the future and I can't wait for them to reveal the first ever teaser of MGS5. Metal Gear lives! :D

What makes Raiden any less a valid character than Snake himself?

If it wasn't for Raiden, the game wouldn't be what it is. Raiden served as several plot devices throughout the series and the story wouldn't have progressed logically without him.

I agree. Besides, we're not talking about Raiden as he once was (and so disliked...) from MGS2. As many people that was jonzing to play him in MGS4 and with the later addition of the Raiden/Vamp MGO 'Scene' expansion pack just released in Japan--I wouldn't totally thing it unimaginable to see the new Raiden picking up the MG series. Actually, I think it would be pretty bangin' to maybe use him if nothing else but to find out what happen with to him in-between the time of MGS2 and MGS4--and to see how his body slowly broke down.

yeah i dont know about a MGS5. Kojima has said that he doesnt have any plans for a fifth Metal Gear game but he has also said that if people were going to make a fifth he would see he good it was then make the game with their help.

but it would be good for a fifth even though MGS4 kinda tied up the series.

At the end of the day, snake is done. The best chocie after that is raiden, we could find out how he saved sunny, and how he became a cyborg thing.

Plus it would show how we got from "the age of deterence" to all out war.

ok i think there some people who looked to deeply at MGS5, the article just means a new Metal Gear, i am pretty sure that it will be a new series, metal gear ______, so to those people who are against an mgs5 its probably not going to have snake in it at least, i am pretty sure its gonna be an entirely new roster of charachters.

i know its seems like a good idea at the time, but really, looking at kojima interview's you get this vibe that you know this isn't going to happen, its going to be a revamp, a reboot of metal gear its going to be completely different, yet still deliver the same things

i think metal gear 5 will come in some form or another, how many times did hideo say he was goina stop making mgs? I read months ago on qj.net that there working on another game that takes place in the metal gear universe, but hideo isnt going to be a part of it, but the same people that did mgs 4, are doing this new one with out hideo.

SOON? dude development for an MGS game takes at least 3 years. So even if they announce it at E3, they need like 3 years to complete the game which is in 2012. :)

Bro...MG is a "BIG" money making franchise...believe it,there will be another. Snake's story needs to end but there are other characters who can carry the story forward.

id like to see a metal gear game focused on raiden again. makethe gameplayfocused more on raiden's katana rather than guns, so it plays a bit like a modern tenchu (only obviously with additional gameplay elements. im just using tenchu as a reference, not calling for a tenchu ripoff).

another idea i thinkmight be cool is if they added squad mechanics. it wouldnt star snake or raiden (maybe meryl's squad or a new group of characters?), since those two generally work alone.

but as somebody already said, its probably some sort of mobile game rather than a full fledged console addition to the series.

There will be MGS 5 and it will be a great game. MGS series will live on.
