Kojima already said that in the trailer it was Raiden who said 07 and not him, so it could be delayed.

Seriously, can't wait for this game, and I agree with you but if it's delayed then so be it. I did not buy a PS3 solely for MGS4.

also mgs4 isnt really that amazing, the graphics are nice but its not a physical marvel exactly nor is it that big. .feel_freetwo

WTF ?? HAve you seen the trailers..? Graphically this blows any game out of the water.. Just like MGS..MGS2 and MGS3 .. and I assume that you have a magical christal ball knowing its not going to be so big.

Or the fact that snakes moustache has more polygons than one enemy in MGS3 does not mean that this game might take a bit longer to devolpe?

no I think they havnt worried too much about compresion thats all that means, not that its going to be a massive game I think it will be just about the same length as the other MGS games, any way if it was any longer I think it would start to drag on a bit, the length is just right in opinion

ya i know what you are sayin freetwo and i agree with you for the most part..

But still you should be used to useless threads.. and as much as the threads about MGS4 being delayed jumping the gun.. all you have to do is read their info and decide for yourself if it is true or not and leave it be .. thats what i do (mostly :P)

I still thinkg mgs4 has some of the greatest graphics I've ever seen .. and crysis is exclusive to the pc (so far) so it is not (yet) fair to compare it to a console game because pc games have always looked better than their console counter-parts.

And I was not saying that the game is going to be longer that the previous three i was merely implying that it is probably more work to create the stuff in mgs4 than in the previous three and that it would (most likely) take longer to do it.

Oh and I know quite a bit about mgs as well ;)

I think you need to calm down. People have been speculating on the release date for 2 years since the only clue to an official date has been the E3 2006 trailer. In an interview earlier this year (I think it was with Edge Magazine, but I'll need to confirm that), Kojima was asked if 2007 was the official release date and he answered that Raiden put that date, not himself. This was considered a hint towards the game coming out in 2008 for North American and Japanese gamers (Europe was expected to get it in 2008 anyway).

No it's just logic. Neither Amazon or Gamestop have a crystal ball either. They get the same info we do, they have to get the call when an official release date was announced to the public. If you knew (which you seem not to) Kojima keeps secrets about his games, especially Metal Gear. Closely guarded too and nothing is leaked. So yeah, just cause they're a store, doesn't mean they know. They hear it when we hear it. Expect info in July's E3.

i dont care when it comes out because im not getting the ps3 until it goes down like 300 bucks (aussie) at the moment im fine with mgs2 and mgs3, i finished mgs3 on friday and tried european extreme, and it took me and hour to do wat 10 minutes would! it was so friggin hard.also im on a quest to find all the frogs.

i cant wait till it comes out so i can play it at my mates house and maybe in eb games.

also can someone please tell me in english what the relatiionshiop with the boss, big boss, snake, snake, snake, ocelot and all that kerfuffle. i stil dont know who i was playing with on mgs3 cuz he looked the same as mgs2. 

According to EGM, Kojima said he has high hopes for the ps3 success, and he expects FFXIII to realy boost support before he releases MGS 4. XIII isn't slated for release until 08, obviously.dru26
