MGS4 Trophies?

Are they ever going to have trophies in mgs4? I've finished the game 10 times now, and I just need a reason to start playing again.

i wonder if they do add trophy support if i will have to get every emblem again...do everything again is what i mean..im going to beat the game 100 times..thats nuts right?George__1992

Like Goblin said the emblems are enough and only people who want to brag about their accomplishment care about this. Like a couple of weeks ago someone made a topic asking if he will need to replay GTA4 again to get the trophies because he doesn't want to play the game again, ok you have no interested in the game anymore why do you wanted to update automatically? the answer is simple to show to people online how much trophies I've got.

That what I think playing a game is for FUN not showing how well you did in a game. I guess I'm the only one who still plays for fun.

yeah, you ever get that feeling that you cannot rest and play another game until you finish the game before that one and get everything? i get that, it used to be about fun, but now i have to find everything... the trophies just made it worse..

I don't see the need for them... this game has emblems, which are actually worthy in some case because they do unlock stuff, unlike trophies.GreenGoblin2099

I know that feeling. Only for me it's Xbox 360 Achievements. I can't seem to move onto another game until I get ALL of the achievements or at least MOST of them even if I beat the game already. I held onto Star Wars The Complete Saga for 3 months when I rented it from Gamefly! THREE MONTHS! It was beaten the first three days I had it!!! Beat it 5 times over simply to try and get ALL the achievements. It wasn't even about fun after the first time just more like "grinding" to get those achievements. I find it VERY hard to play games for other consoles too, like the Wii, DS or PS3 (All of which I own) because they don't offer these types of things. I know PS3 has trophies but only for a small selection of games so I'm turned away from playing games on it. Example. I bought Ratchet and Clank Quest for Booty off PSN (I'm a long time fan of the series) but don't want to play it. I mean I do play it but I'm not really into it like I used to be.....why? No trophies. I lost that feeling for simple gaming fun and now want a REAL reason to play a game. It sounds bad and sometimes it is like I feel like I'm missing out on things, but when I do get my hands on a good game like Silent Hill Homecoming (LOVED that game) I not only enjoyed it but also nabbed ALL of the achievements so it was a double win for me. I guess it's like an addiction to gambling where it's more fun to win BIG then to win at all and sometimes you lose more then you gain.

I wouldn't be surprised if MGS4 gets trophies eventually, but it would be strange since the game already offers multiple things to accomplish. You've got a wide variety of weapons to earn drebin for and purchase, plus collecting all the songs for the Ipod, which you won't even be able to do unless you earn all the top emblems--and then there are the 40 emblems, which are exactly like trophies, only better. The MGS series had these "achievements" starting from MGS1. Plus, the emblems earn you special items for use in-game, but trophies don't.

If I was responsible for developing the trophies, I would just make 40 of them to match the emblems, and maybe an additional one for collecting all the IPod songs.

I'm sure if someone would release an MMORPG for the PS3 all the trophy addicts would be overjoyed. You could just try to have the highest level character with the best gear, which would be a more impressive accomplishment on a console due to the absence of hackers.

Would you buy a game you don't even like to play just to get the trophies for it? Lol.
