MGS4 will have an Epic ending but one thing is certain, Snake won't Die ?

Yep it's final, MGS4 will be the final MGS in the franchise and the ending will be proof of that. Kojima will answer all the questions and deliver an experienced unmatched by anything coming out this year. Now people who have seen the E3 06 trailer will know that we are lead to believe Solid Snake will kill himself, but is that really whats gonna happen...

I honestly can't see Snake killing himself regardless of Snake being shown putting a gun to his mouth. Think about it, Solid Snake is a cloned super soldier, he lives for the battle and killingone-self would be basically admitting defeat and taking the easy way out. Kojima is just playing tricks on us. I have no doubt theending will be EPIC but I don't think we will witness the death of gamings most beloved character. Also it will be too easy to end the MGS franchise by Snake dieing, I'm sure the MGS franchise can be fulfilled without the death of Solid Snake. What do you guys think ? Will Snake kill himself ? and if he will what will be the strong reason for Snake taking his own life ?

He won't kill himself, but he will die. I personally think that a part of Snake will live on in Octo's experiment of a new metal gear or something like that. How kool would it be if there was a metal gear with snakes brain? EFFIN' WONDERFUL!!!!!

Kojima plans to end the MGS series wih MGS4 so there will not be anymore cloning around.

Seriously, I'm not sure if he'll die, but I do know the suspense is killing me since Kojima's statement. I want to know what happens!

That's just ridiculous, MGS4 won't be the last "MGS" but Solid Snake's last chapter, kind of like Big Boss, he will still be mentioned in future MGS but just might not be playable or physically available in MGS5!

Damn straight man. I have been playing this game for over a decade now and those who did the same would probably feel the same way. Snake although fiction will indeed live in each and everyone of us, in our hearts and in our memories. No matter what happens in the ending of MGS4 we will never forget the Legendary Solid Snake!

I'm just gonna laugh my butt off when that "suicide scene" takes place an hour into the game. And then I'm gonna get extra giddy when everyone finds out that the whole "ruined city" portion of the game is just the prologue.

Kojima NEVER reveals anything that happens more than a couple hours into his MGS games. Every single game since MGS1 that he has previewed has only had the first couple of levels shown before the game came out. Even the big plot reveals he shows are just minor story bits told in the beginning of the game.

Of course he could be fooling everyone who realizes this, and all he's been showing so far has been from the end of the game...

I think it's going to be a cliffhanger ending, like the camera will cut out while the gun is in his mouth, OR, the screen will go black and you'll hear the gunshot. I guarantee it'll be one of those.Sandro909

I'm going with this. If it ended in a neat little package that wrapped everything up nicely than how/why would people be talking about it for years? Its going to be one of those cliffhanger/cutoff, "OMG I nevar expected that to happen!!11!!1one!!" endings. You know, the ones that people talk about for years ;)
