Yea I know MGS4 is a huge exclusive for the PS3 but...is it worth a buy? Iv'e never played a MGS game before. The main thing I buy games for is the replay value. If MGS4s online isn't all that great or is just like any other shooter then is it still worth the purchase? How long is the campaign suppose to be? (I'm not a lem I own a PS3 and 360).
Dumbquestion. It's too long of a game for a rent.If you like a 3rd person tactical shooter. You'll die quickly in MGS 4 if you just try playing it like most shooters. You must be sneaky and precise and use the right weaponry and camoflage etc.

firstly if u havent played any of the mgs's before then your gonna be lost in MGS4. secondly, if u do decide to play the other mgs is understand the story and gameplay rent or buy is not a question because its the biggest PS3 game ever and the last one of the series so your gonna be in for one wild ride.
This will be THE game to buy. Since you havnt played an MGS game to date I'll let you plead ignorance on this one. You really dont really know whats coming at us, hahaha this game will be a must buy. The cinematics alone will be atleast 4 hours +, judging from the interview with Ryan Payton, so you're basically getting a very sweet movie along with an amazing game. Even though you havnt played the other MGS games, there's an encyclopedia in this game so if they talk about something you dont understand, you'll be able to look it up.
wow is this serious? clearly MGS4 will be a rental :P jks it'll definately be a buy, but it's not for everyone so actually it could be a rental in that type of way.

Even though I hate people asking "what a dumb question" it sorta is one... I recommend playing a old MGS game they are cheap to buy or rent. I would buy if it was out like Kojima said when he showed the first trailer of the game.
Metal Gear Solid is the only game I have never sold back to the game store for credit or cash, only game ever I have never sold back (2 and 3) I still have them and I might, actually I probably will go back and play them before 4 comes out that's a good idea.
After watching an interview with the developer, they are saying they are using the Blu Ray to it's capacity, I didn't think that was possible, this might be the best game ever(so far). I would be damned if someone with a ps3 'rented' this game. The only reason to rent it would be if it were sold out in stores and you just couldn't wait to buy it

3 MGO in subsistance is all that and a bag of chips, ask anyone who played it.
Not only should you buy MGS4, but ALL the MGS series, and I am not kidding, this series is the best I have ever played and the biggest strong point of the series is the story and the incredible production values.
You do own both consoles? because I do and I like the PS3 better. If you can compare nba 2k8 demo on both consoles notice how it runs better on the PS3.

TC its a must have game for the ps3 I think every body knows that unless they hate MGS games
