Mic Echo Problem

Hello all! I'm enjoying the PS4 and loving every aspect of it, except for one thing: when I talk to my friends I hear myself just as loudly as if there was another me from another dimension talking into the mic, so I've taken to just not talk at all.

I've reset my PS4, unplugged the headset from the controller, and turned my Dualshock off/on multiple times.

Does anyone have any slight clue what I can do to fix this, or are any of you experiencing this problem? My friends all say that they can't hear themselves, so it's just me.

I've also Googled this and couldn't find any results for fixes.

I don't know if any of you have every experienced hearing yourself in real-time with a slight delay, but it is incredibly irritating.

Found a fix alrdy on your own?

Maybe the echo from whoever you're playing with?

@tanden_stoker - I have not found a fix yet. It's day three and I still hear myself.

@Grieverr - Unfortunately this isn't the case either. While I hear my own voice, I also hear my friends' voices echoing after they speak as well. Also, if I'm in a party with two other people, I hear my own voice repeated back to me TWICE, and it goes up depending on how many people are in the party. I simply can't have my headset in when playing with more than a couple people because all of the echoing becomes unbearable.

If anyone finds out anything, let me know! I've been scouring the Internet about this frequently since the 15th.

Isn't there a way to turn down the mic sensitivity? Check the sound options or chat options or whatever and see if there's anything for mic sensitivity or volume and turn it down a few notches. Happened to me on Steam and simply lowering the mic's sensitivity fixed it.

I've been all around the options trying to find this. If you can find it then let me know.

Wish I could, I don't have a PS4 yet as I'm in UK.
