Mirror's Edge Thoughts?

I thought it was aight, was thinking of pre-ordering and was hoping the demo would convince me and although I enjoyed it I think I'm going to see what the other games that are coming out are like cause I'm limited in money :P One annoying thing I thought though was the way the gaurds died I played it twice and both times one of them sort of flopped dead.

first of all, the visuals are great :D

its not on top of my list, but ill probably get it eventually.. its a good game!

id love being able to free roam in that city, though :P such an awesome city!

I was completely excited for this game and I loved the demo, but I won't get it simply because EA is publishing the game.dizzykim

LMAO i used to hate EA too, untill they released Deadspace !! 4% left till i get to play the demo!

I didn't have high hopes for the game, I thought it was going to be bland and boring and after playing the demo I know I wont be buying it.

The "look for Red" deal is pretty damn insulting for anyone who actually wants to play a game and find there way through a level and find there own paths. Once again the PSN saves me money

I absolutely loved it.

It was fresh, fun, exhilarating, exciting...it was a rush. I had an amazingly fun time with it, and I can't wait for it to come out.

Glad I pre-ordered at GameStop to get the Runner Bag for free.:D

The path colored in red is just the "recommended" path to take -- you can supposedly take any path you want in the final version, but the red guideline is just the best path for anyone picking up the game to take. Keep in mind that this game is fairly new territory because of the blending of genres while also expanding what we think traditional genres should be (not quite platforming, not quite FPS, and yet possibly more FPS than previous FPS' out there).

They say it will be big enough to put your PS3 or 360 or laptop in so it must be a good size and decent quality. Not that I'm going to use it, it's simply for collection purposes, but it's cool nonetheless.

I always enjoy collecting stuff from games I like, so this will make a nice addition to my collection.

I enjoy little collectables as well. Even though I have no use for them what so ever except the bag that came with GTA, I use that quite alot. They're just nice to have. Ah, consumerism:P

The demo is great. The game looks very good, allthough the aliasing is a bit to much (ps3 was supposed to be the leading platform).

I hope the games main story won't be very short.

nice, i liked that for the most part.

i dont like the cheesesy theme song and im not thrilled about the lead characters over meloncholy voice acting, but the gameplay is better than i expected.

especialy when that tecno beat kicked in during the initial police chase and running up those stairs, it started to feel like the matrix.

@Goblin, there also is a fighting component to the game, which i never knew existed, until the demo. Apparently your part of some vigilante orgninzation, who gets into trouble with cops and stuff, but there are parts where you have to fist fight or disarm them, and the animations for those scenes are pretty well done.

So long as theres variations and different fights and a decent storyline this might not be a bad game to rent.
