The original Assassin's Creed was pretty diappointing. I had high hopes for that game, but it stopped being fun after a couple hours of playing. Just got so repetitive. Luckily the sequel was light years better. Turned out to be my favorite game on the PS3 actually.
SKATE 2 hands down!
After playing the demo for the original, I was in love with the game, more so with the full package, brilliantly intuitive controls, great graphics, innovative use of the skate in videogames, good online component.
Then I blindly bought Skate 2 not thinking twice...
Bad graphics, dumb implementations of walking and rearranging obstacles and a city you can hardly skate, where's the fun in that?
I was also dissapointed by Resident Evil 5 it lacked the fear factor of previous Resident Evil titles and once you completed there was virtually nothing else worth doing whereas in 4 you had Seperate Ways and Assignment Ada plus you got bonus weapons. It didn't feel like Resident Evil more like an action game than anything the bosses sucked big time.
Killzone 2, I really didn't like it at all, I just found it so boring and had a hard time getting into it at all, it just felt as though each level was just dragging on and was so repetitive, they could of added a bit of variety of helgast in this, it was like killing the same danm enemy over and over and over.
I got all the way to the last boss but just can't bare to do it, too hard for me and the battle seems to go on forever, then I die and get taken back to the part which I have to run back up the stairs.
That game hasn't seen light in a long time, I don't get how people can like it but good for them.
[QUOTE="CleanNJerk"]DMC 2 was an abomination.Texas2089lol I skipped DMC2 so I haven't been disappointed by it yet :P For me, honestly I'd have to say God of War II. I'm up to the Temple of Euryale and the story has been a HUGE disappointment to me so far. The gameplay is still there, but I'm just not getting the same vibe I got from the first game.
DMC2 was horrifyingly bad. They seemed to just get rid of everything that was good in the first one and switch it out. There was nothing good about it; the story was dumb as hell, the gameplay was dull, the bosses were jokes (giant gorilla?). I like the logic in that Dante suddenly starts basing all of his decisions on a coin toss
And i agree with being disappointed in God of War 2. I love the first one, and i really wanted to like the second, but it just didn't feel as interesting to me. The gameplay is still great, but it just didn't really get my interest. That and Kratos is just a tool in it. He was a bit of a tool in the first one, but it was justified in the usual brooding action hero way. Still, i'm interested in seeing what God of War 3 will be like. I'll wait for the hype to die down first though.
Otherwise, i was disappointed in Street Fighter 4, and i'm not entirely sure why. I've been a SF fan for ages (my favourites probably Alpha 3) so i had high expectations, but it just didn't meet them.I certainly wanted to like it, but i never find myself playing it, neither for multi or anything else. That being said, i can't help but feel interested in Super Street Fighter 4. More characters, tweaked movesets; maybe i'll find that more enjoyable.
Mine would have to be Devil May Cry 4. Was really looking forward to it but Nero was stupid, hated playing as Dante, stupid story and horrible voice acting...and no trophies =P
Terminator Salvation. I don't think any less effort could have went into this game. This game would have been perfect for a flash game on a website cause its like 3 steps total.
1. Get Cover
2. Kill Enemy
3. Repeat 1 and 2.
Really thats it nothing else except a few driving sequences that make no impact on the game at all. No bosses, just 5 enemies total. 2 of which u only fight 1 or 2 times. sadly i plat this game haha :)
