Terrible game. I tried to get into it but couldn't. I don't understand how it got 10's. Heck, I don't even understand how people can like that game. It's so slow paced and just BORING. I love MGS4. The gameplay mechanics are fantastic, the cutscenes are beatutiful to watch and the voice acting is great. The story is deep and engrossing (especially if you have played 1-3) and the sound effects are great. There is a reason it got amazing scores. Not every game is meant for each person, but you obviously didn't play it long enough. What chapter did you even get to? How long did you play? Also, I highly doubt you have played over 10000 games... just saying.
Ok you are really just nuts. Metal Gear is definitely not even ranking on overrated games. Halo 1, 2, 3, ODST and Reach. Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1, 2 , black ops, World at war. These far rank above totally overrated games. With there lack of story line, and gameplay. However Metal gear is a hit or miss game. You either love it or hate it. I have been following the story since Metal Gear hit the NES. It has always been one of my favorite games and continues to be one of my favorite games. To Metal Gear fans MGS4 was the closure we needed after MGS2. The return to Shadow Moses after 10 years was one greatest levels I have ever played on a video game. Overall I think MGS was one of the best games of all time esp if ur an MGS fan.

While I agree with the latter portion of this statement you lost all credibility at Reach. Its a great game with a great story and great characters. ODST on the other hand... :lol:

I TOTALLY DISAGREE... MGS4 was one of my best games of all time... I really really love this game...
Now I must play it again, I do agree that it takes time to get into the storyline. But once you do the game is a blast. The cut scenes can be a tad long a times, But I did end up liking the story. To each they own.

Really the only issue was the ending...which went on about 15 minutes too long. Other than that, the game was outstanding.
