My PS3 freezes up way too much

I can't even seem to keep my PS3 idle anymore without the thing freezing up. Then I gotta hit the switch and reboot. I first thought my PS3 was overheating or somethin cause there was a considerbly nice amount of heat coming out the back. Plus I kinda had it placed in an area that had limited space for air flow but could be better. So now I decided to stand the system up vertically for better breathing room but i'm still having the problem. So it must be something else goin on here. I mean it has done it before but not as much as it does now. I have the 40gig and when the fans kick on it sounds like a jet engine going off :lol: so if u see anyone saying that the PS3 is quite they are full of crap.

Do you have a Intercooler unit with it or something? Because my 40 gig is really quiet after I removed that extension.Reshun_9

Son of a *****!!!! I'm playing GTA IV right now and it popped up a screen with please reconnect controller. I reconnected the controller via USB and all it does is flash it will not resync to the system. I have been having this bluetooth/controller problem ever since I have bought the PS3. I dont know if my freezing issues are tying into my controller issues as well but my PS3 is obviously defective or something is goin on.

I have called Sony about a defective controller *not system* problem before and they made me do some hard reset by flippin the switch while holding the power button or somethin like that I dont remember exactly how it went. But they tried troubleshooting it by doin that and it didnt work. They were "supposed" to send me a box to send my controller back.. Well that never happened so calling Sony is out of the question on this one. Plus I dont wanna sit here and wait for a box, then wait for it to be repaired, then wait for it to get shipped back. If it keeps doin it i'm just gonna sell it and either buy another PS3 or get somethin else cause I expect my stuff to work properly.
