Ok, so i tried it selecting easy, then it didn't even find an ip address, then i fed manually the info (ip, subnet mask, default gateway, dns server) at dns server 2 i put the same as at the first, anyway it gets the ip but it doesn't connect, it says : "An error occurred during communication with the server, this is a DNS error (80710102)". I have a 2MB/sec DSL connection, please tell me what to do :(

I get that sometimes but usually after a while it works.

Is it a wired or wireless connection?

Did you give it your ISPs DNS or are you using DHCP, because if you're not then thats the issue. Also make sure the console is in DMZ.

Erm i use a wireless so i'll try and help as best i can.

Have you checked to see if your ps3 is being allowed access through your router/modem?

If you search on google aswell you might come up with someone who had the same problem as yo.

Sorry i couldn'y help more.

okay

now what you do is, Unplug your modem, turn off your PS3, plug your modem back in, wait 30 seconds, turn on your PS3 and do the wired setup again, Automatic this time though
you wont have to do manual

unplugging your modem is reseting it so that it can give the IP address to your PS3, without unplugging it, it will remain faithful to your PC so you need to do this

no.

Connect the PS3 directly into your modem, and do an automatic setup. If that doesn't work, then restart your router and try once more.

1. Change back to DHCP

2. Swap out the cable.

3. Verify you have green lights on the router for the port you're using to hook up the ps3

4. Reboot everything, (obviously)
