Name Your PS3 Predictions for 2009

Since we're in the second month of this year, name your predictions for the PS3 this year of what may happen towards the platform. I would bring this topic back up later throughout the year to see if any of us are right.

My predictions:

1). Price Cut

2). Wardevil announced (E3 2009)

3). Syphon Filter PS3 announced (E3 2009)

4). Possibility of Eight Days or The Getaway coming back due to Killzone 2 sales

5). Sony unveils Super Secret Game that BBC reporter saw at E3 2009

6). Update 3.00 to include features like in-game voice chat and other online features for PSN

7). New IPs (as always)

My one and only prediction .. everyone will stop whining about price cuts .. seriously ..CanadianCR

my predictions are that if PS3 dosent get better sales by the end of feb or march, then 09 looks pretty bleak for them. I no i sound like a troll right now but i just want to be prepared for the worst thats allreaver-x

*M.A.G to be biggest online game on PSN after Killzone 2

*Rockstar to announce exclusive PS3 Downloadable content for GTA IV.

*Konami announce a new game franchise.... something to do with BBC reporter.

*Massive hype surrounding Rockstar's new franchise L.A Noir begins to accumilate. Calling it bigger and more adventurous than GTA.

*Some car game that no one ever heared of to become the best car game ever. ;)

*End of the year PS3 to announce a new version of the PS3.

I also forgot to put another prediction on my list. Although it doesn't belong in this forum, but there is a rumor that Sony will unveil the PSP 2 this year at E3 2009.e_stone001

i think theres just 3 models of the psp like there are with the ps3 (40 80 gig). psp 2 will just be the next generation of handhelds.

Prediction -

A ton of great games will come out and I will still see threads about how there are no games for the PS3.

White Knight Chronicles will be slated for a June release.

Sometime this year, a sequel to Valkyria Chronicles will be announced.

I'm not good at predictions, or coming up with them...

2009 Preictions:

1) Killzone 2 doesn't live up to the hype. While still being a pretty good game it will end up being about an 8.5 score from users. It won't be the next 10.0 game.

2) As an aftermath of Killzone 2's "failure" (I say failure only to mean it's inability to meet expectaions) CoD:MW2 will also underachieve.

3) FFXIII for the PS3 will out-sell the numbers for the 360. And the game will be very well recieved from fans and critics alike, being compared in its glory to that of FFVII or FFVIII.

4) GoW III will recieve rather low reviews. Future quote about the game: "Although visually stunning, gamers feel as though they are playing the same game they played back on the PS2, with hardly anything new being brought to the table in the franchise's latest installment. Although the campaign is initially fun, the game gets repetitive early on, which doesn't bode well for the rest of the game seeing as how the game is very short in it's length.

Just predictions. And almost on the side of worst-case scenario, but I feel these outcomes are pretty realistic. And if they do happen this way... PS3 will be in trouble.

Killzone 2 is released Feb 27 and I buy it and like it a lot.

Uncharted 2 comes out 2009 and I buy it and like it a lot.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is renamed Battlefield: Bad Company 1.5

New Ghost Recon has voice command for AI squad mates.

PS3 gets a price cut and 29 trillion PS3s are sold.

Prediction -

Star Ocean comes to PS3....I'm praying

1: Price cut (or new model doing the same thing as a price cut).

2: Killzone 2 will not sell as much as Halo 3 (sad but true).

3: One of the ps3 big 2009 exclusives (at least one) will be pushed back to 2010 (another sad but true fact).
