Having a bit of a problem.

Got my new 320 GB HDD through, unfortunately the screws are really tight on the caddy. I thought the blue one was hard to undo.

If I try any harder I'll wear the tip of the screw away then I'll never get it out of the caddy to put the new one in.

Am I missing a trick to getting them out? Or is it all hard work and perseverence?

Cos my hands are killing me!

Its basically impossible. They messed up there. Just ring up sony and they send you out a free caddy (the silver case around the hard drive) and u can just slot your new hard drive in the new caddy and your away.

Takes ages to turn up though. at least 10 working days

I had the exact same problem I phoned the PlayStation helpline and asked them for a new caddy and 4 new screws. They were free and only took 4 days to arrive, pretty impressive service.

I called Sony Support, said I should have a new caddy by Wednesday. 3 days. That's pretty good.

Said it was a manufacturing fault.

The blue screw was hard enough. Don't know what I would have done if I hadn't managed to get that one out!!!
