you cant register your ps2 mic becuase its not a bluetooth device so your in the wrong place from that screen instead pick i believe accessory settings and change the input and ouput to USB headset make sure its plugged in to the usb port first and that should work but anything tha says bluetooth stay away from if not using a bluetooth headset, and no PS2 headset i know of is bluetooth

Look at your manual for the mic, if its bluetooth there is a specific way to turn it into "Available Mode" or whatever its called. It makes it so devices can see its signal. For the Jabra (Warhawk Mic) you hold down the buttion until its solid blue, then when the ps3 scans it finds it and you enter the code which defualt alot of them are 0000. So try and figure that out if its bluetooth.

Sounds like you're talking about the old Socom USB headset for the PS2. Just plug it in your PS3's USB port and enable it under "Accessory Settings" in the XMB. It should work like it did with your PS2.

Accessory Settings > Audio Device Settings > Input Device: Pick the USB headset thingy, and voila.
That's how it works for all USB mics

The PS2 headset isn't Blu-Tooth but if it's selected in the settings menu it works just like it does on the PS2. I have the Socom headset and use it on my PS3 when I want to use a headset.
