Never say die

QJ reports on a site that tested a PS3 to it's limits (or what they thought would be it limits).

They tried normal family room conditions for 108 hours (4.5 days) straight playing games and Blu-Rays

• Slight Vibration in the tray for about 20 seconds at one point

They tried it in freezing conditions starting at 50 degreesFahrenheit and gradually going to 0 degrees for the last 24 hours of the 108-hour period.

• Sluggishness once 0 degrees was reached at the T-minus 24 hour point
• At the T-minus 12 hour point, there was a blackout. It was traced to condensation on a cable going from TV to PS3

Then, they tried it in hot conditions starting at 100 degrees Fahrenheit going to 120 degrees.

• They noticed a slight burning smell at around 110 degrees
• The PS3 was really hot when they finished, but still working.

I'd like to see a certain console put under those circumstances.

What do you mean by their level? I'm being honest that my other console got RROD because I left it on 24/7 to play FFXI. Plus I'm not talking about the other console in general, I'm talking about MINE.

When you job is to shoot, run, cover, shoot, run, cover, shoot, run, cover your English takes a back seat. If you add to that being awake for the past 32 hours I think I'm doing pretty good. Sooooo, what have you done with yourself?

What do you mean by "What have you done with yourself?" Oh, and about saying his RROD were "awesome" I didn't mean that I thought it was great the system fails. I meant it half-sarcastically like when you step in dog crap and then say "Great, It's gonna be a beautiful day!!"

Guess I just took it wrong then. Still a lowblow wanting someones $300 system to go down the drain. Just saying, its bad enough that we are flamed hourly by 360 fankids, what makes us better is to ignore it and go on. Not join it.

Well, not wanting to rub it in or anything, but I'm English soooo I'll say whether peoples English is good or not. It is. :D Although, that 'certain' console is very good when it is not suffering a meltdown. The PS3 is alsovery good. Because it doesn't meltdown. Ever. Which is precisely why i bought one! :D That and MGS, GT, KZ, Lair...man I wish we would get Bioshock :(AliasUK
